I heard Noland was gonna buy Ironhide off of Bay and turn him into TDKR batmobile...:pigfly:

Amazing work as always f_r.

Well, I would treat that with a grain of salt. Looks like a bunch of no-name "critics" who are probably being paid to give positive reviews. I've seen a news story on that before, as you'll often see people you never heard of heaping praise on movie posters, and many are actually paid by the studios to give that kind of review (some of which may not be critics at all--in the past, studios used fake names of people who weren't even real people, but I think lawsuits stopped that). Wait until the Rottentomatoes reviews come out. This may not be the case, but in general, movies studios know are good and have faith in are released to critics before the general audience--and not a small sample of persuadable critics, either. Yet there is nada on RT at the moment. . .

Call me a cynic if you will.

Though Khev is right, I do expect this movie will be crap. My negative perception is not pulled out of the air, though. It's based on the previous two films sucking. If you liked the previous two, you'll probably like this one. If you didn't, you probably won't. But my thoughts about the nature of early reviews from no-name critics for films not shown to legit critics at-large has nothing to do with the movie being discussed. Shady business.

:lol, You're hilarious Rub-a-dub-Dubz! And who's hating? :dunno

:lecture And I want to see this movie too! Let's be honest ROTF was turrible but I will say the 15 or so minutes was really impressive. I am cautiously optimistic.

Youre a cynic.
Im so bored of people being negative about this movie before they have even seen it.

You want to be pot or kettle Dubz? Go back and read all of your previous posts. Welcome back btw. :wave

I feel like Bay was just restrained enough (possibly by Spielberg) with T1 that his style meshed fanstastically with the source material. And by source material I mean reimagined giant transforming robots coming to Earth.

It had just enough G1 references to delight the 80's kid in me and the action, pace, and humor were enough to win over the picky fan in me.

Whilst their popularity has been good for the franchise as a whole I think the first 2 were pretty lame aside from a few small moments and ultimately not worth sitting through all the crappy bits for so I won't be bothering with DOTM.

This doesn't make me a "hater", I just don't care about the Bayformers movies or related toys and consider them unimportant to my enjoyment of Transformers as a franchise.

I made a nice bit of cash from ebay sales today so the next TFC Constructicon and half of the expected total for iGear Ironhide is now covered! :yess:

A couple of years ago Justitoys revealed plans for a series of Dinobots made to the same scale as Hybrid Style Convoy with the first one being Snarl.

After 2 years of no further news it was assumed the project had been shelved, but new images of design sketches for Snarl have surfaced revealing a look that's more like a Masterpiece figure.

One of the image filenames is also MP_snarl.jpg.

Could Grimlock be about to get a buddy?

This. The first movie was great, it did everything right considering the source material, rotf was a mess i'll give you that but that was because of the writers strike and they had to rush production.

If thats the case then why did you and i both go to see ROTF twice, and we both loved the original.
If you hated movieverse transformers and the movies so much you would never have come and seen ROTF.
For ages you defended the movies against haters and die hard g1 fanboys who stupidly expected nolan-esque movie making or shakespear instead of giant robots and explosions, so why all of a sudden all the hate?

And again, (this isnt aimed at anyone in particular)its downright idiotic to judge a movie that you havent seen. Nobody has a right to an opinion of a movie they havent seen yet, unless said movie has the word "twilight" in the title or something lol.

And dont be silly you have to admit you are a bit of a hater, BCM.
Not having a go at you but this is how you come across most of the time.
You pretty much hate everything hasbro and takara does and complain about 95% of all official releases.
How can you say you enjoy transformers when you only collect KO's, or similar toys that also turn into cars and trucks not made by has/tak?

You complain about lack of paint apps on official toys, but have no problems when unofficial ones lack similar amounts of paint and detail despite their insane price tags.

Again, not having a go at you, i just dont understand your attitude lately.

To me at least, someone who hates everything with the words "transformers" and "has/tak" on the box isnt someone who enjoys transformers anymore. :peace

Opinions can change. I am not the same person I was 6 months ago, let alone 2 years ago when ROTF came out.

Michael Bay is a one trick pony and I acknowledge his style makes very profitable movies but once you've seen one you've pretty much seen them all and I'm just not intrested in DOTM.

The suggestion that I hate every single Transformer with Has/Tak on the box is wildly inaccurate.

I simply have no intrest in buying anything with a connection to Bayformers or the forthcoming Prime lines.

As I already have the majority of characters I want that are likely to get an official release it also means my intrest in future CHUG related lines will be at best minimal.

There is also a marked difference between hating something and merely being indifferent to it.

If I hated things as you are suggesting I would spend 24/7 thinking about how awful Transformers are.....which is not even remotely close to being the truth.

I collect what I like, because I LIKE IT, whether it applies to anybody else's rules of what constitutes fandom doesn't mean a thing to me, it never has and never will.

I still hugely enjoy Transformers, the fact that most of my present purchases lack an official license doesn't mean a thing, they're still robots, they still transform and are of a design style that I like so that's all I need.

I have to disagree with this mate.

I think it's safe to assume that the film is going to offer "more of the same". If you loved the fist two you will probably love this one. If you hated the first two you will probably hate this one. Personally I don't like the movie franchise because I don't like the movie designs and I don't like Bays style of movie making. I have seen enough to be able to make a judgement that the new film won't be something I'll enjoy.

For example you didn't like Animated (which is fair enough) but I expect you haven't seen all of them? Did you make a decision from season 1 that you weren't going to bother with season 2 and 3 because it wasn't your thing? It's the same thing with the movies for me and many other people I don't need to see DOTM to know I wouldn't enjoy it.

I'm not going to rag on the movie though and all power to those that are looking forward to it. I hope it makes another shedload of money and continues to raise the profile of the franchise.
