enjoying them is fine. I enjoyed them too. LOADS of people did, or they wouldn't have made the money they did.

This doesn't make it not a bad movie. I COULD make a better film. no studio, however, would let me. I'm a storyteller by trade. part of the problem is the economy, and hollyweird wanting to play it safe with their money. Part of it is bay not getting good storytelling. With any luck, my future brother in law will keep moving up the ladder in hollyweird, and eventually get to filmmaker status. he's as much of a comic junkie as me I've learned. So perhaps he'll do some good ones eventually.

Short version: someone get hollywood to make A 3 film cycle from All Hail Megatron ,and we would be in business.

As far as a reboot goes, no we don't need or really want that. Take what's established, and build on it.

Using Pixar as an example of quality doesn't work now that they crapped out Cars 2. Besides, the best Pixar movies had human stories at their core. Up, Toy Story, etc. all had very human stories at their cores. They were things people could relate to through the people on-screen.

Honestly, if you're reading reviews of the Transformer movies and taking them to heart, you're just barking up the wrong tree. Anyone paid to review movies is going to look at them from a critical point of view instead of viewing them as what they are, and that's entertainment. I don't listen to critics about anything, to be honest. All they have to offer are their own opinions, and generally jaded ones as well. There are very few things as annoying to me as a film snob, so I quite frankly don't value their opinions whatsoever.

The original G1 series and everything aside from Beast Wars and whatnot had human characters for the audience to connect with, and they took up a majority of screen time, so I don't see how any of this is new. Honestly, the old stuff is viewed through rose-colored glasses, and is so much worse than just about anything in the Bay movies. The most beloved movie in Transformers history has a friggin' dance number set to a Weird Al song. That's "quality"? Please.

The long and short of it is the problems people have with the movies are the same problems that plagued the previous cartoons, and people refuse to realize that because of a hard-on for hating Michael Bay.

Again, the internet is not the target audience for these things. Real people are...and real people like to be entertained and quite simply don't worry about the stupid nitpicky ____ that we do. And thank God for that.

Also: you can't talk about bad dialogue and then bring Star Wars up as an example of anything good. Come on.

Also, heres something for the people who think a robot-focused tf movie would be a good idea: Theres already been a robot-focused tf movie, it came out in 1986 and granted it wasnt live action but it TANKED.

I saw the movie yesterday, and I must say that I liked it as much as I liked the two previous, somehow these movies seem to connect with the child that is still living somewhere in my head, and that gets all excited when he sees some giant robots fighting, firing weapons, transforming and all that, I went out of the movie theater straight to the toys department of a supermarket nearby.

I can't say that I hated the human characters and scenes from the movie, (Particulary Sam's new girlfriend, I wanna see more of her, specially if she is in Transformers 4), I just think most of them are OK, and some parts were really really funny and entertaining.

So, I can say that for the most part I liked Dark of The Moon, and I will see it again when is my movie collection.

That's exactly why I love them. I don't watch them as a 30-year-old, responsible adult. When I'm watching them I'm put firmly in the mindset I was when I was watching the original cartoons as a kid. I just have an immense amount of fun with them.

With everything on him, I think he's a bit bigger than the Leader Prime, but in his robot mode only, I'm not sure. Here are a few links.

If you can handle the price, the two import Leader Primes from Japan BBTS has up for pre-order look pretty good. They're really, really steep though. $179 for Jetwing Prime and $119 I think for the Leader version. The regular one is the Jetwing version without the, well...Jetwing.

I'm of the mind that the model kit is the best way to go if you don't care about transforming him.

New pics of Revoltech Prime, cant wait to get him!

Looks pretty cool, not sure if I will get him. I will for sure if the price lowers to the $30 that someone else mentioned, but $60 is too much. That's almost $10 an inch. :lol

Yeah, but you can have robot characters and still have a human story at the core, as you say.

The reason why we love Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream, and the rest, is because of their very human attributes. That's why they work as characters.

Transformers have always had humans like Spike and the rest, so I'm not saying get rid of them completely. But stating that you need actual human beings in order to have "human" characters is completely false, especially in science fiction. Of course it could be done - it just requires the talents of someone a bit more, well, talented than the likes of Michael Bay.
