I should also get iGear Ramjet in the post this week and have raised some cash to order Dirge as well....3 Coneheads down, 3 Seekers to go!

I'm pretty sure this has been talked about before but I was wondering everyone's thoughts on the Fansproject insecticons. I'm thinking about getting one(can't really get all 3) but am not sure which one I want. I was leaning towards their version of Shrapnel but may want their version of Bombshell instead. Any thoughts?

I'm not really feeling them, personally. They look great, don't get me wrong, but I think I'd prefer something more G1, and the way third party TF companies are going, it's only a matter of time.

I know you can mod them with some parts people are making, but I'd still rather wait. Cost is an issue - I've got a number of stuff paid for (iGear's two first Minibots, Ironhide and Ratchet, as well as Exgraver), but there's still more Herc bots, iGear Seekers and other stuff just around the corner. This stuff gets expensive and I just can't afford to get it all, like everyone.

I do appreciate that FP is going for a more "Classics" look to them - obviously G1-based but not slavish to their design - and sometimes I DO like that (e.g. Hercules, most of the Henkey/Classics Autobot cars, Classics Warpath, etc), but just not in this case, I guess. Just personal preference.

I'm REALLY thinking about getting the Coneheads at this point, and TFSource looks like the place so far, if I can afford the three-pack. Have you managed to get them cheaper?

Gotta raise some funds somehow for these, though... on top of the Hercules bots...

No, I had to pay a few pounds extra for Thrust as when I ordered he was showing up as sold out on iGear's site ( the cheapest option for me ) only to reappear in stock a couple of days after I'd got one from a ebay seller

Ramjet cost me £18 more ( They're approx £92 shipped from iGear ) because he's definitely sold out on iGear's site as a single release and ebay prices are starting to crawl up.

With hindsight I should have just waited until I'd got the cash and bought the set of 3 but my patience got the better of me!

My main TF targets for the rest of the year are now,

TFC Scrapper & Hook
iGear Starscream & Thundercracker ( Skywarp isn't out until April )
iGear Arcee

I definately want that Ironhide. I love all the extras included with him and Ratchet.

Looks great Dub!!! Wish I could get ya to paint up my movie TFs, but with all the work you put into them, I'm sure the cost would surpass my TF budget

after waiting 25 years for a unicron figure! i finally received the amazon unicron today! got it for £60+£30 shipping from hong kong off the bay,which i didnt think is too bad a price! amazon has him back up for $60 but shipping is roughly $45 plus $5 for every lb i think,and unicron is big and heavy.pics soon.

p.s how difficult or not is DMK01 to put to together? will i need superglue and a modelling knife/scapel type thing to put it together?

im worried it'll turn up and i'll panick with all those trees and pieces!

Congrats on recieving Unicron!

I got the oversized version of the Jizaitoys Wheelie today and it's decent but I'm probably reselling it as it doesn't really fit in with my main collection like I was hoping it would.

It's pretty good considering the amount of diecast and the restrictions of the Jizaitoys design ( the shoulder & thigh articulation isn't great ) but I think iGear's or PerfectEffect's will be better sized and also poseable enough to sit on MP Grimlock's back.

There's a fair bit of diecast which I'm not usually a fan of but on a smaller figure like this it's not too bad as it doesn't affect it's stability.

The design is nothing like the G1 toy and the robot mode is the closest any Transformer has got to being identical to the original animation model.

The vehicle mode isn't quite so good, several bits don't tab together where they really should but it still looks OK and the rubber tyres are a nice throwback to 80's Transformers, it's just too bad it's Deluxe size.

There's another KO coming out which is a direct copy of the Jizaitoys original so that'll be smaller but if it's got the same joints instead of the improved ones on the oversized version the stability won't be very good and it won't be possible to sit him on MP Grimlock either.

iGear's and/or Perfect Effects look like being better options for anyone wanting that kind of display as both have a good record with small, highly articulated figures.

So I know this isn't a B/S/T thread, but since it's TFs and it's dead anyway... anyone wanna buy some Takara TFC reissues?

Trying to cut them down to a reasonable size/display. I think I'll just be keeping the following:

Megatron (I have an extra though)
Starscream
Soundwave
Insecticons
Optimus
Meister/Jazz
Prowl
Hound
Bumblebee and the Minibots

Along with the Hasbro reissues I have from a few years back, and a very few original ones, that should make a nice, core display.

So I'm trying to unload a Megatron, Blitzwing, Soundblaster, Blaster, Perceptor, Stepper, Kup/Wheelie... I think there's a few others. Hoping to get some cash for one or two of the Hercules bot preorders, maybe...

It was £25 plus £9 shipping...I've had a message from a guy at TFW who's intrested so I'll get my money back.

I misread the info at TFW and I thought it was the smaller KO of the Jizaitoys mold so it was something of an impulse buy as I've always admired that design.

I'm still going to get Powerglide from the same guy as him being oversized works better given his alt mode.
