I'm not a hardcore gamer - just a casual gamer who still follows oldskool titles like MGS and Res Evil.

I had a blasty with WFC. I have read hardcore gamers describe it as an average shooter/warfare game. I personally dug the ____ out of the Cybertron design and mechanics (the way little things like computer terminals "transform" when you access them). Definitely the best TF game since the Commodore 64 in my ignorant opinion.

I'm relatively hardcore and I loved it.

I really like the design style for the War For Cybertron game....I was hoping the new cartoon was going to be a continuation of that story but lost all intrest when I saw it was a mixture of Bayformers & Animated.

No doubt the toys will get rereleased for the second game along with a new mold which will probably be Starscream as it was mentioned as being under consideration for the first game.

Yeah the designs are very Bayish but the story and the tone are great and the show is worth watching. It is one of the best if not the best Transformers out there. Too bad about the designs, but still.

While some of the designs on Prime are obviously nodding to the Bayformers I actually find most of them satisfyingly clunky. And the show itself just gets better as it goes along. I need to catch up...

You definitely do. It's been getting insane, and
they actually introduced Unicron early AND are doing it extremely well!

Definitely the best TF game since the Commodore 64 in my ignorant opinion.

If you have a PS2, pick up the Armada game. Not G1, a limited number of characters to play, but a blast to play and just as good as WFC.

I missed the War for Cybertron game, but the trailer looked awesome!

Was it actually a good game, or just "good for a TF game"?

For a Transformers game it was awesome. But on it's own it's still a good game, about a 8/10. If they had changed even just a few things, it would have turned out excellent. Hopefully FOC will learn from the mistakes, because if it does, we might have a classic on our hands.

Anyone know if anyone makes a more to scale MP Megatron scope/canon? The one on him is so damn big and it looks ridiculous

I'll definitely check out this game... I imagine I might be able to get it for $20 or so nowadays...

Although the scale is what kills it for me the way MP Rodimus captures the cartoon aesthetic is perfect and I'd like a scaled down version of that mold for Hot Rod as much as anything as the Classics/Henkei mold is showing it's age a bit now.

bcm, let me ask you something...

If you had $45 credit with BBTS, and didn't have Henkei Hot Rod already, would you get this? It's back in stock at $39.99... and at that price, I might not get hit with customs coming into Canada (MIGHT not). So basically I'd be paying about $5 to cover the rest of shipping, and that's it.

I mean, I'd love a scaled down MP Rodimus, but despite how well it turned out, I think the Hot Rod mode would be better scaled down a bit anyway, so while it might look great as Rodimus, the Hot Rod mode (my favourite of the two) might be too big... And of course, that's a big IF it ever happens in the first place.

I had that Classics Hot Rod a few years ago, and never really cared for it. I kept it in car mode, because it was more aesthetically pleasing. He has the same problem that a majority of the Classics figures do to me. He sorta looks like the older figure/cartoon character, but he lacks. . .something. Some of the liberties taken by the 3rd party companies seem to be better decisions than the ones Has/Tak has taken with the Classics somehow, even if they aren't completely G1-accurate, and I guess that's a huge part of the appeal. They see the G1 characters as fans do, instead of how a company trying to appease fans based on cost-benefit calculations and focus groups do, and it comes through in the character designs.

I didn't intend on going off on that tangent when I started typing, btw :lol

For that price I'd go for it, in fact that's somewhere in the region of what I paid for the original release. The mold does look good in that color scheme esp the chrome spoiler and if you get the FansProject Sidearm Targetmaster there's the option of a better weapon than that hairdryer he comes with.

If a scaled down version of the Masterpiece was already confirmed I'd leave it but for now at least it doesn't look like one will happen....who knows what the future will bring?

It really is. I'm thinking I'd still display him in car mode if iGear or someone else ever did a really nice G1 accurate Hot Rod, so it wouldn't be a total loss.

Oh, I totally agree with you there. Still, they're nice, or at least the ones I'm interested are. I'm really only into the Season 1 and 2 Autobots when it comes to the CHUG stuff. I'd really still like to get Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Bluestreak, Mirage, Smokescreen, and Inferno. Those are G1 enough for me right now, though if iGear comes out with more stuff like Ironhide and Ratchet... :) I'm not into the guys like Dreadwing and what not. I don't even know who they are, lol.

In other third party news, they're saying that the company that's making that nice G1 Soundwave we saw a little while back is aiming for an April 2012 release.

Anyone else here picking up Hercules and/or Maketoys Giant?
Yeah, there's a fair amount of Hercules talk in this thread. I actually just got Exgraver last week, and it is a pretty decent figure. I still wanna bang my head on the floor sometimes when I realize that I've paid $100 for. . .an arm. BUT. . .whatchagonna do?

Haha for sure. Hercules will be my first 3rd party figure transformer figure. I was a bit shocked when the price was announced but I had NO choice, there is no way I can live without this figure. Was thinking about getting two Hercules, display one in Devy mode, one in the bots mode, so i bought two Exgravers. And then I stumbled across Hot Toys. :slap A Keaton batman,89 Joker, and Predator later, i can no longer finance two Hercules. Now I have an extra $100 arm just lying around:slap

STFU Eli, that arm is what put that figure over the top. Think about the big picture. Also maybe we should rename this thread All Things 3rd Party?

just hold onto the extra arm.. for that matter, box it back up if you can. in a year or two, when the set is all but gone, and people are desperate for it, you'll be able to resell it for a profit I'll wager.

anyone have any ideas when the next part will ship?
