Is the reprolabels for Warbot worth the $8?

I bought the set but never bothered applying them as I felt Warbot looks fine with just an Autobot logo on his chest.

Quality wise the set is fine but it's one of those where it's almost too faithful to G1.

What I mean by that is the original toys had labels because they didn't have as much sculpted detail....that's not the case with modern TF's and I think certain sets make the toys look too cluttered.

The sets are really nice, but they really do look cluttered and sometimes just silly. I basically just use the faction symbols and they look just fine.

Very tempted by Thundercracker just to have an almost G1 accurate seeker display
Just wish the Coneheads weren't so dear otherwise I'd have jumped on one of them in a heartbeat.

I keep looking at Ratchet & Ironhide & I just wish they did some colour prototype shots so I could get an idea on the final look.

Bit of a shame to hear the Insecticons are a bit plasticky.
Is there any news yet on the upgrade sets??
If they are imminent & not too expensive that may sway things...although they still look pretty sweet anyway

I would love to get the Devestator but I can't justify the cost...if they were half the price per figure then no issues at all but at $100(ish) a piece it's just too much

We know Takara is now going to do the 84 Autobot Cars, so no need for knockoffs

For the modern comics, More Than Meets the Eye is a must read. It's written by the same guy that handled Last Stand, and it's just as good, if not better. It's only four issues in, but it's well worth reading, IMO. Great characters, good action, excellent mix of light and dark moments, and every issue is a self contained story.

The story is interesting too, if different. The war is over, the Decepticons have been defeated, Cybertron has been 'rebooted' to a more primal state after the final battle (wiping out all cities), Optimus Prime and Megatron are gone, and a bunch of neutral Transformers showed up that aren't too pleased with what the Autobots and Decepticons did to their home world. Bumblebee is left in charge of Cybertron, while Rodimus takes a group into space to go look for the Knights of Cybertron, the first Cybertronians who left to spread enlightenment throughout the galaxy, and who he believes can restore the planet.

It's different, but that's what makes it interesting. Really, if you enjoyed LSOTW, then definitely give this a chance.

There's no guarantee Takara will make any other Autobot car after Sideswipe other than Red Alert.
