Sorry to hear Faith Leader's not lived up to expectations so far, makes me feel bad for recommending him now

Stick with it though, mine is also from the 2nd run and although transforming it is a bit scary it's fine for reposing once in robot mode....the head may occasionally pop off the ball joint but goes back on OK so no big deal.

The reason I asked was both my Faith and Ultra leaders seem cheaper in quality and fragile but they are pretty sturdy. Ive knocked over ultra leader many times, my cat too and hes never broken anything. I was afraid to break him the first time I transformed him and it probably took me 30mins to finally get him transformed. Now its as easy as cake.

I checked and his transformation is the same as MP01 molds. There should be many vids out there to help guide you. Ill see if I can find one specifically for Faith Leader. Good luck bro.

He does indeed feel pretty cheap but it does have a sturdy feel just a little bit miffed how easily bits come off.

I know the pieces go back on easily so it's no real issue just a bit of a worry for later on in life.

He is a cracking figure in general...I'm amazed how good the head sculpt is, I spent ages just looking at it when it popped off in my hand last night lol

Hopefully once he's in Robot Mode I'll just leave him like that & all will be good.

Speaking of older third party figures I just got "Glider" (Powerglide) as part of a trade. Not one I was really itching to get, but it just worked out that way. I would have gladly waited for an iGear version but I assume that one will be "mini". This might be nice for a larger, deluxe-sized version, which is how he was often depicted on the old cartoon.

I haven't transformed him or anything yet - any thoughts from those who own him?

In other news, I hear the Art Feather Bumblebee is plagued with QC issues. Makes me glad I didn't preorder. It's too bad - he looked really good but it's an untested, new company, so I wasn't going to take a chance (like I would with, say, FansProject, TFC or iGear).

Yeah sorry for the issues dude. I guess there has not been a line of toys where every figure was perfect. Can you give any more detail on what keeps falling off? There might be some minor fixes that can fix em. I believe there is some polish called Future shine or something that can add some thickness if applied and help fill in that extra space. Quite a few TF collectors use it to tighten up loose heads on figures. I know it would work on the wrist piece. Possibly post some pics of the other pieces if you can.

Well my iGear Faith Leader did indeed turn up yesterday & I'm in 2 minds about him.

No doubting how fantastic he looks & is the perfect rendition of Prime.

But by christ is he flimsy!!!

Bit's keep falling off mine (the cover on the head, one of the feet, bit on the wrist) & oh my god how fiddly is he to Transform??
I can't do it for fear of breaking parts of him he's that flimsy.

I did google for a video on how to do it but everyone just seems to be reviewing him in Robot mode already so no joy there & the instructions are next to useless

I go about halfway though last night but gave up & put him back into truck mode in the box which at the moment is where he'll be staying.

I'm a little sad with it & so far seems like a waste of £60, might get better over time when I can get him into Robot mode but right now he's very meh & I should have just plumped up the extra for MP10

Well like I said, I would have recommended that you get MP10 or at leastMP01/MP04 if you like the boxy less comic book looking design.

But on the upside, despite the cheap quality, faith leader is afterall a copy of areally good Optimus prime design so it's not so bad.

Got my reissue Soundwave in today from BBTS..well it's a gift for my brother, his favorite TF character. Looks pretty nice but smaller than I thought it would be. still cool though

Comes in the same packaging from when it was originally re-released a few years ago

Yeah, I forgot about that larger tape deck space to accomodate two tapes. I kinda dig it, but it does affect the aesthetic.

And I just scored a Hercules set After a great deal of internal conflict, trying to rationalize buying vs. telling myself that it wasn't worth it, I couldn't hold off anymore. The prospect of a TFC Superion to pose him with is just too much. Very much looking forward to this.

I'd be intrested to see some pics of Glider, I was going to get it at one point and then it dropped off the radar for some reason.

I saw the stuff about ArtFeather Bumblebee as well and it strengthened my view that it will be better to wait and see if someone else comes up with a more definitive version.

Heh, Just today local tv-channel showed good old Macgyver episode "The Black Corsage". In that episode there was an amusement park booth with several gray Shockwave toys I think Macgyver butchered some of those. Poor Shockwaves. They most likely tossed the rest of them to the dumpster after filming that episode.

I already have an MP01 which is fine but I wanted something to fit in scale better & had heard good things about the Faith Leader so thought I'd try him out.
I will be getting MP10 as well so it's a non event really but I thought I'd get Faith Leader as well in the meantime
