It’s absurd Thundercracker went from $69.99 to $74.99, only about 7.5% price increased.

I wouldn't be that pissed, you got the better version of MP10 and not for $250-300 like the Takara version goes for.

I hear you; I would have done the same after all it’s a Masterpiece.
But man TRU sure knows how to stick it to us fans. To think this thing was $100 last week.
It shows you how TRU manipulates fans with their exclusives.
Only thing now is wait for coupons or BOGO sales.

I cant believe there are QC issues with this already!!! The second vid above shows a figure that does NOT have the waist piece that folds down in robot mode!!! How they FKCU does that happen Takara?!?!?! If I get mine and it has this defect, I will be majorly pissed off!!!!

ive seen 4 or 5 loose in hand mp sideswipes go on ebay lately that come with the EX parts- i wonder if the second vid is one of those-probably ones with qc issues that are 'thrown out' or taken by amazon/tak employees? i dont like sloppy or diffrent coloured paint apps.

Can you report them to the bbb for price gouging because from 99.99 to 131.99 is bad. I understand cheaper than takara but still a big increase i think i will do this and let the store know about that. Absolutely ripping people off. I feel really bad for you because you had to travel far, if it was close you probably would've not taken it but oh well. If you know anyone who preordered this for the 99.99 price online, print it out and bring it to the store they should be able to price match.

The ONLY way to make places like TRU pay is by your wallet. Unfortunately, they're not in the business to "please the fans" and when you have people throwing money hand over fist for this guy, its gonna suck for you.

Now, you'll get the random person or two who'll miraculously find one on clearance on top of having some half off anything coupon and only pay $18, but for the rest of the people who want him sooner rather than later, you might as well just pay whatever the premium is for it now and just remind yourself how awesome this figure is while you cry yourself to sleep about how much you actually spent for this guy...or at least try to forget

Wow, TRU sale here in Australia has the new Hasbro MP Optimus for $129.99 (goes back up to $149.99 after the sale)!! Get it while you can!!!

US collectors complaining about prices should think themselves lucky that they live in a country with pricing that's generally much better than anywhere else on the planet.

Then there's the matter of more retail options, better distribution, discount cards which allow you to get even more money off items and if all else fails you can order online from various US comic/collector stores without having to pay international shipping and customs charges.

If you think TRU's pricing of MP10 is bad, you'd have a nervous breakdown if you had to deal with the way Hasbro treats the European market.
