Other than that, I will be completely satisfied with some version of an MP Jazz. Also love to see a G1 Hound. And a new Megatron, of course. Come on Takara, that's only another thousand bucks just waiting for you to claim!

If MP Jazz ever gets announced the first thing I'll be doing is looking for flying pigs!

Unless there's a drastic shift in VW's policy Jazz is one of the least likely Autobot cars to be made as a Masterpiece.

We got a g1ish jazz in the generations line. They did it by cheating. Could eaisly see the same thing happening in the mp line if all else fails.

I see he's been posed with MP11 Scream there.

Does anyone have any idea if he'll still scale right with the MP03 molds??

I have all 3 & I'm going to struggle to justify shelling out for MP11 versions now when I can't really see anything wrong with the 03 version.

I will be shocked if there won't be a US release of Soundwave. There is no way that they'd miss out on it, it'd be a guaranteed smash hit.

Well, stranger things have happened.

Considering how few MPs actually seem to make it to TRU shelves, one almost has to wonder why they even bother...

there will be a US release....TRU has been doing an exclusive MP each year for a couple years now.

But yeah, it seems to be the norm. The big question is when? MP-11 Starscream, Skywarp, Sideswipe, or Red Alert could all come before Soundwave. My greatest concern is that while Soundwave seems like a no-brainer to us, the decision-makers at Hasbro and TRU might think the more appealing nature of Lamborghinis and fighter jets trumps and old '80s fan favourite.

But he was reissued, so I still think we'll get one eventually.

I'm surprised Smokescreen is being released before Bluestreak, though. I wonder how accurate he will be to the actual race car, or maybe he'll be more like the cartoon (i.e. simplified details).

I could see Takara doing the more toy/real life car accurate version, and getting more of a cartoony look from Hasbro down the road, now that I think of it.

Just be patient, the official one is at this point inevitable.

It's a smart move on Takara's part, though. No doubt there will be customizers out there buying this for the sole purpose of trying to fashion some kind of MP Sunstreaker out of it...

Fully licensed, realistic G1 alt modes = Preferred

G1 alt modes as they looked in the cartoon = Acceptable

Classicsverse generic sports cars = Easy pass

As long as Smokescreen has the same kind of decoration as the G1 toy or the Henkei version I'm good.

All the sponsors logos on the actual racecar make it a licensing nightmare so I don't think that'll have even been considered.

I was also suprised that Bluestreak wasn't one of the first ones and maybe slightly disappointed as he's my favorite of the trio....the G1 toy was the first Autobot car I got as a Christmas present in 1984.

But the confirmation of the other 2 also confirms 'Streak so no big deal.

It's amazing to think we're definitely getting 10 different Masterpiece characters this year and a total of 6 different molds, 4 of which are all new. I think the other likely releases are,

Bluestreak
Soundblaster with Ratbat
Galvatron

Ultra Magnus is my bet for the first release of 2014.

As a rule I don't usually order anything without seeing pics but Takara's reboot of the Masterpiece line has been so good ( save for MP10 ) that my confidence in their ability is at an all time high....for now

If someone had said a year ago that I'd be buying more official Transformers than 3rd party ones I'd have said something to the effect of "Bollocks"

I think the tapes were always that much, I don't recall seeing them any more but I'm not 100% on that.
