Not a bad looking figure as far as CHUG type designs go. I think it rivals that 3rd party version from awhile back. If Blitzwing looked that nice I would pick it up.

Having watched the video review a couple of times I decided to give Generations Springer a go and it's pretty good.

The robot mode is very close to IDW's from "Last Stand of the Wreckers" and will look great displayed with Mech Ideas Topspin and Twin Twist.

Armored car mode has a few odd gaps in places but is still nice.

Helicopter mode is meh but one mode on Triple Changers usually is so no big deal.

I still really like Warbot Defender and I'm going to keep both for the time being and just rotate them in my display.

Yeah, this is how I felt before, and seeing these pics just makes me think it more. It's a fine comicbook figure, and I'll probably get one, but it's not the be all/end all replacement for Warbot, imo. Warbot's got a more G1/MP look to him. While this would look okay with MPs too, it definitely has that certain CHUG/toyish look to it...

Guys,

Has anyone got Toyworlds Hardbone (worst TF name ever???) yet?

I'm pretty tempted as I always quite liked the Hard Head G1 figure but I'm curious as to how he'll scale with the MP's??

Same goes for Fanproject's Chromedome as well I guess (if I'm getting one I might as well get the others ;))

Thanks

Neil

For those of you guys that have ordered any of the Dr. Wu stuff whats the quality like?

I don't like it.

I got the Hound/Ravage upgrade for the Henkei figure, and the headsculpt for Prime Wheeljack.

Both were made of that kind of plastic you see in model kits, i.e. good for detail but very fragile in comparison to stuff used for action figures and Transformers.

The Hound gun was fine, the Ravage missiles fit rather loosely, and the Wheeljack head broke when I tried to screw it in. It's fixable, but still. Bugged the heck out of me. And no replacement from Robotkingdom, btw... which I didn't appreciate, since BBTS, TFSource or Automaton Toys would have gone out of their way.

So I don't recommend it. :(

Yeah, I'm on the fence about some stuff like the Skybreaker sword and Optimus's guns. Definitely don't want to waste my money as its not cheap lol.

I don't know, some of that stuff seems to get fairly positive reviews... I can't speak to those pieces specifically but I know that people on TFW seem to like some Dr. Wu items.

Are those for the TF Prime version of Optimus, btw?

Been waiting for that, looks good so far. Only nitpick is the antenna's could've been pointier, like how iGear does.

Now that you mention it they are a little on the stubby side, but I suppose its so the head can tuck away for transformation. I like the spoiler, reminds of those semi trucks they race in europe. Also whats with the trailer?
