If I recall correctly that one was a custom....which is a shame as it looks more like what I'd expect Takara to do if they went the realistic route.

Not hugely interesting news but might be of interest to my other UK collectors.

I have been speaking to Andy at Kapow Toys today & he has told me that they will no longer be carrying Toyworld 3rd Part figures.

This stems from by Andy's comments as being shoddy customer service by Toyworld.
They have let them down with their shipment of Hardbone's & have been really lax in replying to messages etc. so they have decided to drop them.

Shame but not really any great loss

Toyworld make some great stuff especially Hegemon but since I quit collecting Classics none of it really goes with my collection so no big deal for me.

It's a shame to hear their customer service sucks though as with Kapow dropping them it'll mean UK collectors that like their stuff will have to pay a bit more.

I'm glad to hear that retailers are sometimes willing to say enough is enough. Lord knows customers aren't gonna get recourse themselves. TFClub straight up lied to me about giving me assistance through their Facebook page, and they don't seem to give a **** at all. But annoying a handful of disgruntled customers who already paid them isn't gonna hurt their pocketbooks nearly as much as a retailer pulling out.

Yeah it is a shame that we'll have to pay a bit more if we want them but I'd rather have a level of service that my supplier is happy with.

It's funny Andy didn't say we can't get them so sorry tough...he actually said that he knew BBTS were stocking them & they have good Customer service so if I am in the market for them he recommends them, which was actually pretty nice to hear.

They definitely aren't just in it for the money...to recommend a competitor show's they respect their customer base enough to offer alternatives if they can't supply.

It's definitely the retailers that pull the strings with the 3rd parties if they all took similar stands then we wouldn't see the QC issues we see on some figures.

TFclub sound like they are about the worse there though...that's a shocking practice.
Did you ever get anything sorted?

Neil

Nope. I actually ended up getting "satisfaction" because the original seller--another boardie on another board--gave me a refund. But I didn't want it to come to that.

I don't know who you are, but I love your avatar. :)

Thanks! I've lurked here for awhile now and hardly post. I know K80 from another board. My sig and this avatar got me into a little hot water on that board, luckily I still had this one lol.

I've been following this transformers thread pretty closely cause for some reason I've been really interested in transformers the last couple months. Just started to work on my MP collection. I've got a decent 1/6 collection but nothing like folks here on the board. I really need to get my display in order and shoot some pics.

Cheers!

An anti-Cuthbert board? My lord... which one, so I can stay away from it!

Funny, I barely post on 1/6th threads anymore. Guess that has a lot to do with Sideshow's GI Joe line "on hiatus" (presumably for the Hot Toys movie stuff?) right now.

I almost exclusively post here, the MOTUC thread, and vintage toys thread!

Let's see some pics man! (Actually, I should probably do that too...)

Even though I've had them for a couple of months now, I just realised today was the first time I had MP Soundwave and his minions all in alt mode together! Here they are with their G1 vintage counterparts. Love them all!! :)

G1 still holds up pretty well. The size difference between the two (or lack thereof) is pretty neat, too.

I should really unbox my Takara reissue and display it next to my MP. :)

Well, I wouldn't say the board was anti-Cuthbert, so much as a small handful of folks, and a big deal was ultimately made about it. Damn, do I miss that signature webhead had :D

That's a sweet picture there. :rock

Hi bros. Recently switched to collecting Transformers (used to be a 1/6 purist). I was checking out the Transformers Masterpieces, but saw that Megatron is out of scale (I plan to be a Con collector).

Could you please recommend me an alternative to Megatron that's in scale with my Hasbro MP Starscream and iGear Thundercracker? I saw the Toyworld Hegemon Megatron, but he's about an inch shorter than SS and TC.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

According to reliable sources Masterpiece Megatron version 2 is thought to have already been designed and will be in scale with everything from MP10 onwards.

It was initially rumored to be MP20 but it's now looking as if that will be Galvatron and Megatron V2 will instead be released sometime next year for the 30th Anniversary.
