What are the odds that TT/Hasbro could actually do the minibots though? As good of a job that igear has done on them, wouldn't collectors jump in if decently priced or packed in two's? Plus the repaints? Scale wouldn't be an issue.

Hey this is totally out of the blue and I know I'm hijacking the thread, but does anyone have any old Classic Space Lego they'd like to trade for Transformers stuff? (Or anything else on my trade list, Hot Toys, GI Joe, etc.)

Just something I'm getting into now.

Meh, hard to say.

When you think of all the cool stuff that COULD be in progress - fitting with the sort of thing they've done before (i.e. leader figs, jets/seekers, Autobot cars), not to mention the rate at which they're able to produce Masterpiece figures, there's still quite a lot to do.

I figure we'll almost certainly see a bunch more cars (Ironhide/Ratchet, Hound, Mirage, possibly Trailbreaker/Hoist), Skywarp and Thundercracker (Takara), Ultra Magnus, Galvatron, Megatron V2, Shockwave, Soundblaster, possibly Conehead Seekers, and maybe even another Dinobot (I'm thinking Swoop) or Cyclonus before they branch off into something like Minibots, Insecticons, etc.

I think there's a better chance of seeing Minibot two-packs or something, than any combiner teams, though.

Hasbro are a non-factor in any new Masterpieces as the line is, and always has been Takara's baby.

If Takara decide to make Masterpiece Minibots I don't think there's anything to worry about on the design front.

I reckon he's probably already got the series 1 Minibots on file as 3D models and is waiting for the green light.

Jack is one of those figures that's so good that even non-geeks have been known to acknowledge it's greatness.

My Dad is about as far from being into the whole collecting thing as it's possible to get but he appreciates the craftsmanship.

I really hope HT get round to the Deluxe version of Cannibal Jack with the throne that was hinted at a while back as that scene is one of my favorites in all 4 POTC movies.

Everyone I know that's seen him are amazed by everything about him...the quality of the outfit, the likeness, just all screams quality.

Yeah got something else planned for my other leg, it won't be TF this time as it will be a cover up & what it needs to cover is a Tribal piece & it needs a lot of black to go over it so nothing I've been able to find TF related is dark enough.

Shame but I have something equally as awesome planned for it

Even though I like the MCU movies more than the POTC ones, Jack is still my favorite HT figure in my collection though that may change once I recieve Loki.

Generation 1 Autobot Car Prowl (1984)The original Prowl toy, formerly released as part of the Japanese Diaclone series by Takara, was released in the first year of the Transformers toy line in 1984, and shares the same mold with Bluestreak, which was later slightly modified into Smokescreen. The face of the toy was the direct inspiration for the design of the Autobot symbol. The livery and cherry lights are that of the National Police Agency of Japan but without the kanji side lettering of the various forces and is replaced by Westernized lettering all around the car.
This toy is done at a scale of about 1:37 to the actual car. Although portrayed as one of the larger Autobot cars, the Datsun that Prowl is based on is very tiny, and he would only stand just over 13 feet tall in robot mode if he was made to scale.

I'm not 100% but I'm sure I read somewhere that the headsculpt of Diaclone's Cassette Man ( Soundwave ) was a similar inspiration for the Decepticon logo.

Picked up Voyager Beast Hunters Shockwave today to pretty much round out my TF Prime collection unless Ultra Magnus turns out nice in hand. Really nice figure though kind of wish i could've splurged a big and got the takara. hopefully reprolables makes a nice upgrade set for him. Now just the wait for TRU MP Soundwave.

Not toy related as such, but I just watched TF movie from 1986 and well...it just wasn't all that great I hadn't seen it before and didn't expect it to be any masterpiece. Some might say it is a bit sad, that a silly cartoon from 80's did some of the stuff better that those modern bayformers. However, to be fair; at least the firts bayformers movie is IMO better that this cartoon. because it just wasn't that good either. So yeah, some of the good ol' G1 stuff namely from the 80's was rather silly as well, but not all of it.

I splurged and got the Takara version of Shockwave and it is very nice. I've Magnus on preorder and he is pretty much the only other figure I need for my Prime collection. Although I might be tempted to get the ultimate class Predaking as hes the only Predacon I'd like to have.

I was surprised at how big/tall the figure was. I did realize it until I put him on the shelf with the others and was surprised to find that he was taller than just about all the voyagers still awesome though.

I have Smokescreen and he's honestly one to my favorite figs from TF Prime line. He just desperately needs either a new paint job or some Reprolables (which I believe they said they were going to do whenever they get him over in Canada). I wonder what the Takara one is going to look like since I think those don't come with the beat hunter parts and are supposed to have more accurate paint jobs. Have they shown if yet?

I would like to get the ultimate Predaking but I just don't have the space for it. Might be cool to have him hanging from the curling though

Unfortunately they haven't shown the differences for Ultra Magnus or Smokescreen. I'm happy with Hasbro's version of Magnus, but if Smokescreen is more show accurate I'll probably get the Takara one. Yeah that Predaking will be a definite space killer, but I'd hate to pass it up.
