Thanks, but I'm pretty sure that's not the same figure as the image posted above, at least it looks significantly differnt in the photos. I want to be sure before I drop $20.

That's the same one. Voyager class Optimus. They just have him incorrectly transformed in the photo on their site.
He will also be up for pre-order tomorrow on BBTS, if that makes you feel safer. But trust me, that's him.
Thanks for the info, I just think he looks kinda crappy in robot mode in the HTS pictures and the promo shot floating around here looks amazing so it's like, hrmmmm. Can't wait to add it to the collection. For $4 there's some new, small scale G1 Optimus available at HTS too, Autobot Leader Optimus Prime, I might get it just to add to the mix.

The pic here is actually an in hand pic, from the gallery over at seibertron.com
So that should be pretty accurate as to what we are getting. I've also seen reviews on youtube that look exactly like the seibertron.com photos.

Don't know what's so hard about not seeing it, remove the weapons and pose him differently and it's the same figure.
I guess it's the pose, the in hand shot makes him look nice regardless of picture angle but the product image looks kinda cheap.

I also think he is partially transformed in the Hasbro shot... notice his thighs are about 1/2 the lenght of the first shot, most likely still pushed in.
I didn't think it was the same figure either... Hasbro should reshoot him as their pictures look really crummy and don't show off how nice the design is.

Ooh good spot on the legs, I'm sure that's a big part of it, he just looks fat and goofy in their pictures. While stylistic as the show is, the in hand figure still looks sleek and badass as Prime should be.
