All versions of Homelander - 1/6th scale collectible figure

Made this thread as a place to discuss, share and compare everything Homelander in 1/6 scale. Released and unreleased, licensed, custom or third party.

A quick overview of all the versions I could find:

- Star Ace, Homelander (Officially licensed version, Released)
- Premium Toys, The Hero (Q4 2022)
- Toys Works, The Republican (Released)
- Soo Soo Toys, John Lander (…)

Please let me know if I missed any.

The reason for starting this thread was the release of The Republican. I want to pick up the body from a version of Homelander to use with one of the four spare sculpts I’ll have leftover from the Empire Toys set. Despite the Republican being released I could not find any in hand photo’s or reviews. So I’m just curious what it ended up looking like.

Also made this thread because it would be interesting to see which company will be crowned the winner for making the best Homelander.

I suspect it will be a draw between SooSoo and Premium toys. Soo Soo will have the best quality and more accurate suit with an array of accessories. And Premium Toys will have the best likeness and shelf presence out of all the versions. But I guess only time will tell.

How long has it been since Soo Soo’s announcement? Like one and a half years or something?

I personally went with Premium toys simply because of the amazing headsculpts and how cheap it is.

I just couldn’t get behind Soo Soo’s sculpts. It doesn’t quite look like Homelander. Their quality is pretty consistent so I see why it’s an easy choice to go with Soo Soo for a lot of people. But if the character doesn’t look like the character… that’s like the most important part of the figure.

Premium toys worked with a very well known sculptor in the custom game apparantly. It shows. I’ve never heard of them before so I’m just hoping the quality is alright.

It’s been just over 22 months since I PO’d. That’s quite long enough- but, with Chinese Nee Year fast approaching, this will probably hit the 2 year mark.

It’s apparently the high end version of toys era, so I’ve heard but can’t confirm 100%. I’m sure it’ll come out fine

If they are Toys Era as mentioned (makes sense since they also used Yixie) then production should be fine. If so, I definitely won’t need another Homelander so I’m crossing my fingers!

Ugh I hate worldbox bodies. And SooSoo uses them for all their stuff. Hideous visible joints even under clothing, weird proportions. Usually a very thick neck. The quality is nice but that’s all it really has going for it.

I hope Premium toys will have a jiaou or phicen body.

SooSoo's Body/Suit + Premium Toys sculpts will be the best of both. SST posted an update last week and the body + suit on their version is looking great. PT's version just looks too off.

Agree about the suit material but I like Premiums body. Im suspecting SooSoo will be using the same body as they did for their recent superman figure. I despise the proportions on Worldbox bodies and how awkward it looks. Just dont look right to me.

I wanted to look up more info on SooSoo’s facebookgroup and found I have been banned from the group? I was pretty shocked. I like their stuff and I like to think I give constructive criticism while keeping it respectful.

The last thing I posted on this group was this comment and I was blocked after that.. (I’m looking in the group with my second account).

A few days ago they posted covid has delayed all their projects. So seems like Homelander isn’t coming any time soon.

Just received and paid my invoice from Kit. Excited to see how the final product turned out. I might pick up the SooSoo version down the line if their suit is more accurate. But we’ll see.
