I wonder how much control the artist has over the product once they hand the design over to Kinto/Favorite. Some of what I've learned recently has been surprising (a new paleoartist is doing work for them, though I won't say his name just yet), and I honestly wouldn't be surprised to learn that Trcic despised the Allo's racing stripe. Still have his e-mail address in my records. Maybe I'll ask him sometime, if people are still curious.
Today i was in a exhibit and saw lifesize skelletons of Giganotosaurus, Argentinosaurus and Carnotaurus. I am still in awe!
Some years ago i saw a T-Rex, but compared to that Giganotosaurus it was nearly small...
Would love to see some of those in the sideshow line.

Gigas were enormous, but if you've ever stood in the shadow of "Sue" you would know a new definition of awe-inspiring. Nowhere near as large as that Argentinosaurus, though. I've never seen a full, mounted one. Must be wild.
To be honest i saw Sue fully mounted and believe me, that Giganoto was way bigger. Just the lower jaw was 6 feet in length. One of the feet was 1 1/2 bigger than the T-Rex-foot. That thing is enormous and even dwarfs the Rex (And i am a big Rex-Fan)
Giga's an outstanding animal, and perfectly suited to its predatory niche, as T.rex was suited to its own respectively. I personally don't like to compare carnivores in that age-old pop argument - "which is 'better'". Each animal evolves differently under particular environmental pressures. Natural selection is the arbiter, and we've found a number of large carnivores in recent years all of which hover in and around the size proportions for T.rex and G.carolinii. Each is different, distinct, and adapted to its ecology superbly. What makes T.rex stand out from the group is not only its devastating biological arsenal of weaponry, but also its intellect which is among the most advanced that we've seen in dinosaurs as a whole, and easily surpassing all other large theropods. Paleontologists are quick to use T.rex as the standard for ferocity in the world or predatory dinosaurs with good reason.
