Clearly I get to you though, since you feel the need to try to get me back. You're so pathetic. It's unbelievable! :lol

:lol:lol
You don't "get to" anyone. You just make an ass of yourself most of the time. Too bad you can't how stupid it is when other people do it. If you did then maybe you would actually add an opinion to your mostly worthless posts which would increase the value of them.

I did a Gort years back, and he has a very distinctive shape. How/why they plainly ignored that with this release look I'll never know.

What a shame.

Okay kids - kill the messenger but don't undeservingly bash the figures. The Klaatu is pretty good. Gort, not so much. But I ordered them.

Last summer I got the oppertunity to visit the artist studio who created the prototype for the Gort figure. There were several different Gorts created for the production of the film including costumes worn by a 7 foot tall man and static statues that were used in some scenes. All looked somewhat different when publicity stills and screen captures from the movie are compared. The decession was made to go for more of the guy in the suit as opposed to the familiar publicity stills that show the static Gort with a straight waist. The hate being brought on this figure goes to show the old saying "you can't please all of the people all of the time". Provided below is a screen capture of a scene from the movie that shows that at least part of the film supports the look of the Gort figure.

Michael, those are some of the coolest figures showcased in this TF.
There's a couple of threads on this in the Horror forums.

Excellent pics!
Thanks a lot. Amoktime should post those next to their figure.

point taken.
cause i am just ribbing the messenger. (not killing as you suggested Dave. (chill buddy. its all about peace love and doll collecting)

these are cool figures, and I am happy to see somebody releasing this stuff... :monkey1

I actually ordered these the first day I found out about them. I don't think Gort is perfect (at least not to my eye) but he is clearly recognizable and with Klaatue I think the two balance out to a very nice display.

And in terms of price, Klaatu alone at $50 is a fair price, not stellar... but for a small production figure and something as iconic I don't think you'd see much better. And Gort, while not perfect is pretty much a one-off sculpt. Can't really reuse any of it so I think the price their is more than fair. And if you've seen any of the pre-existing Gort statues I think this is as good if not better and a fraction of the cost.

And I know most of the negativity was towards CF, not the figures. But just wanted to throw in my .02.

Figures look very good, don't understand why being so outpoken negative about them.

Also happy to see another company is going to release 1/6 fantasy figures.

Apparently it's a novel and fun way of "getting" at someone.
I don't even understand why we keep this thread alive, there's two or three more over at the Horror and Robots, Aliens, etc forums.

But the figures and licenses kick so much butt they deserve multiple threads!
