Amoktime releasing their own horror figures

I thought the Elvira figures were scrapped because they looked too much like Cassandra Peterson or something like that?

God I hope not, I have a set ordered through Amoktime and one through Sideshow Collectibles by way of Sideshow Points! If in fact they are canceled, Will I get my Sideshow Points back?

Also: have you notice Amok Times website/pre-orders section is very streamlined now? They state they are evolving it into a better site. Were some of the figures release order changed?

I know the factories over there have been giving all the smaller toy companies a really hard time because they are catering to the uber toy producers first. Maybe the evolved website will let us know what order the items will be released/updates. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if IT came before everything else...heh,heh,heh.....

I would love to go to that!! That's not too far from me either. It's a few hours drive but people from some of my favorite movies are going to be there.

Well, on another website, that we are both members of, I posted a rather tame remark on this topic. I stated "If we ever get to buy one. They are so far behind on announced releases, who can tell" in regards to an upcoming figure.

This statement made an individual who works with the companies (Amok Time/Executive Replicas) to basically accuse me of spewing negative energy, and become defensive. I told him I wasn't trolling, I just was very aware of how behind they were. I then sent him cuts from this thread and another board, showing him that people were being a lot more impatient than I, and deserved answers. I got a reply in the form of being hit by the ignore button.

It appears if you have a complaint or a dissenting opinion about a company that you shouldn't dare express it..... just shut up and be grateful that you will be given the honor of buying their product. That's not very good customer service. Personally, its put me off of buying anything other than what I consider "musts".

I am now skipping/passing altogether on: Blood of Dracula, Horrors of Party Beach,Frankenstein /Space Monster, Blacula, all the NOTLD figures, Masque of the Red Death and Karloff...yes, even Karloff. I was on the fence about him because of money, but the argument I had pushed me over.

I will only buy "IT" and "Vincent Price Presents". Only out of love and loyalty for those two characters. Why? Because I don't like having my concerns and opinions dismissed by someone to whom I planned to give my hard earned money. Money that I earn by the sweat of my industrial/manufacturer worker's brow. Not sitting in an air conditioned office looking down on the unwashed masses who are lining up to have the honor of spending their money on my wonderful product. I can buy something else.

Why bother to give my hard earned money (esp. in this economy) to people who clearly have an attitude of "I don't care what you have to say." Good luck to all of you who plan to still buy all these products. If they ever see release. Personally, I no longer care.

Richard, I am very sorry to hear that talks with (Amok Time and Executive Replicas) have not been enjoyable for you. I must say, Both (Amok Time and Executive Replicas) have always been VERY kind to me anytime I have had questions concerns, or ideas. And for that I thank them. As far as the figures are concerned, DO NOT GIVE UP BRO! They will be GREAT.
