:rotfl :lol :rotfl

I can only say that I myself was never a big fan of the original show... Adrian is pretty good with a sword though... have to give him that. Not a Terrible actor, but not great either.

Biggest thing is, he did not have the same "presence" as Lambert.... He just never really made me feel for him or take him all that seriously. Just my 2 cents though... not hating on the guy at all. Just was spoiled with that first film and nothing else was as cool from that point on...

I think spending this much time talking about a show you don't like is lame, but hey thats just me.

Ps. He rules, get over it.

PSS. See how where this going? nowhere! I like The highlander series a did many many others, get over it. Spend your time talking about something you like instead of saying something I like is lame.

Dengar, your still one of the Board top Gaysayers.

Deal with it.

And Adrian Paul share the same first name than the dead wife of famous movie boxer. That is lame.

Deal with it.

Duncan = Gnay
Duncan Fans = Gnays

Deal with it.

Jeez I guess I'm had, I mean with wit like that. See I guess my opinion is wrong. I don't even know what Gnay means? I guess it's idiotic way of calling someone gay? And I guess being Gay is an insult? Hmm, okay. I'm not sure what your problem is with me, does it really bother you I like something you don't?

Also I'm not sure if this is fun for you guys, I can't tell, but either i'm not taking that way, I'm finding it annoying. I don't like Buffy, I don't post in every Buffy thread how "gnay" it is.

Though I respect Dengars opinion.. um... well... A show that was syndicated at 2am in most places with a lead actor who at best was an athletic martial arts guy First and an actor Second does not (DOWAZ NOYUT) live up to the myth created by Highlander (neither do the sequels for that matter).

Sorry, but that is the reality.

Just because alot of people have pictures of Paris Hilton in their highschool lockers and bought her album DOWAZ NOYUT make her a superstar power house of musical glory... merely a rich broad with lots of dumb fans. (not that I think you are dumb Dengar).

Now :peace

I get your point, I never said the show was amazingly popular, the first movie isn't really. But it has it's fans, and lasted six seasons. And It's generally accepted amoung fans that paul is a way better actor then Lambert, and a lot more convincing in any fight scene. But in any case, thanks for showing some class.

Edit-okay I said that last part without seeing the second thread, the funny thing is a lot of memebers here like the show, i know because they sent me private messages, they just don't feel getting into this stupid flaming war and I think I'm going to stop as well seeing as MOST of you have really bad or no good points any way.

:lol Chill out. That last pic was a funny. A funny. Merely a small funny. :D ;)

I for one like the TV series - but you do need to give it a chance. It really takes off in Season 2 with the introduction of the Watchers, and also once they get rid of Tessa and bring in Methos. I also like the later version of Richie.

Season 1 of most shows struggle - and Highlander was no exception. Connor and Duncan are both different characters - and IMHO Highlander really doesn't tell you all that much about Connor. And the sequels sucked really bad (can anyone in Panzer Davis spell continuity ?) with the exception of Endgame (which I really liked). As much as I liked Connor - he really did have to die in that film for the franchise to continue - he was just getting to old to play a non-aging character.

Avoid season 6 though - its basically a string of pilots for the Raven with Adrian Paul off pursuing other things.

Yeah, I agree with all of that. Season one is alright, I like it, but season 2,3,4 and 5 blow it away. Half of season six is okay, mainly the last two episodes. the Series finale is just awesome. I also like Endgame a lot and put it on par with the first movie.

A TRILOGY?!?!?!? Oh dear God help us! They are really whoring this franchise beyond any common sense. NOTHING from The Quickening on made any sense at all. There SHOULD have been only one!

Are they making those 3 films ''straight-to-video'' ?

The Series reminded me of that cheesy vampire cop show Forever Knight. At least that show had Jeanette in it. I'll take her over that Raven beyotch any day.

Can someone please explain how Connor won the Prize after he defeated the Kurgan but then his cousin Duncan shows up in End Game and takes his head and all of these immortals who were snoozing in the Sanctuary come out of the woodwork? I just don't get it.

For the purposes of the TV show its assumed that it was just a really big quickening, rather than the last two immortals. So in the TV reality Connor didn't win the prize.

Alot of TV shows have to play around with their history a bit to get over the fact that a big screen movie needs a resolution. Even Buffy had this issue.

But yes they are certainly bastardising the title for all its worth.

Stand Alone Series
A 1994 animated series, Highlander: The Animated Series, was set in the far future, and featured the character of Quentin MacLeod, voiced by Miklos Perlus. It is not within the continuity of the live-action series.
The producers are making a new anime series/movie called Highlander: Vengeance. It is about a new Highlander named Colin MacLeod. Set in the future, Colin has to battle Immortals and giant robots. It is not in the continuity of either the films or the series.

The comic appears to be quite nice though - I've read up to #2
