What's your point? The paint is still awful...

The Obi-Wan figure is nice. I don't see Alec Guiness in the sculpt as much as others do, but it's definitely a good example of a well-done figure. Unfortunately, it seems to be one of the only examples.

I mostly agree with you about Anakin, but how could that look any more like Alec Guinness? It's the finest sculpt of him I've EVER seen.

Agreed. Anakin paintjob could have been a lot better and the sculpt is not perfect, but it is a really nice figure. On the other hand, Obi-Wan is the best Alec Guinness sculpt ever made if we don´t count his PF brother.

No. Not that figure. The original figure Sideshow shipped out. Not a figure that has been repainted/modified. These aren't model kits, they're supposed to be fully detailed, authentically sculpted and painted 1/6 scale figures. And they're just not.

Bad paint can be corrected, the puffy clothes can be futzed.... And you can have an outstanding figure with just a minor fix. I know it shouldn't be that way and these aren't model kits.... But I would call that a flaw... NOT reason enough to call it a POS.

It was a fantastic sculpt on amazing clothing and can be a really great figure if you care enough to give it a try.

I'll know for sure if most of SS's jedi figure's are pos's when Medi Maul comes out,I already no SS cant touch Medicom in the armored department.If Medi Maul's robe and clothing is fairly easy to setup with minimal futsing and no "water treatments",no one should have to douse their figure's wth water. Then that will defitely keep me from buying SS figure's except for that New Hope Obiwan,that Awesome figure.

You can't really compare the ROTJ helmet with the ANH helmet since they are different. (That being said, the SS helm isn't exactly faithful to the ANH version either).

I sold the PF,my Medi Vader looks far better.I use to look at him too,the thing that use to piss "me" off was that his shoulders looked extremely hunched.Like he had a "what the fu%#" shrug or something.

A rare instance where I totally agree with you. I love Sideshow's product, but the Vader and Fett PF helmets along with the Jango head that came with Mace Windu concern me. My biggest reason for loving the Medicom Fetts and Vader's is because they're done very well to the source material and especially with the Fetts it's not only done right but the past pieces really never got as close. The Boushh helmet from Sideshow was a success, so I hope when they do further helmets of that extent that more attention is spent on the shapes of the helmets, they're as burnt into our memories as the detail. Vader's helmet has very distinct shapes and proportions and when they're off, it's Vader's essence but it's not HIM.

Can you really count the Jango helmet with Mace? I think that was done close but not to the meticulous manner they will do it when they do Jango.

Vader's helm is from ANH and the Medicom piece is from ROTJ. The helms changed right?
