If I tell you, I'll have to kill you!
While waiting for HT to finally present their Supes, here's mine. Base is only temporary and belongs to another custom. I'll make a fortress of solitude base eventually...

So recipe?

-Sculpt: Fenix
-Paint: by me
-Costume: Moe
-Body: Royce
-Hands: Triad Evo (repainted)

That looks killer... only nit is you need to modify that neck a bit so the head sits lower. Fix that and you will have a near perfect figure :rock

Is it just me or is this superman turtley enough to join the turtle club? Just playing. Looks great just don't think the neck should be near that long. It also throws me off because the neck is wider then his actual face. Doesn't look proportioned correctly. Still nonetheless great work!

Yes, he just needs to dremel more of the inside of the neck and push down some...The royce body is perfect but the neck on the royce is big.

Yes, modify that neck a bit so the head sits lower. Absolutely. Then Perfect!

Yeah Bro just dremel a little more and push down and your set...See below, same body I suited for Silverprelude.

Yep, what was said about the neck thing. Otherwise looks awesome!

16k, I'd be very interested in your recipe for skin tone -- you matched the Royce body beautifully, and the skin has nice depth. It would really help me with my Dexter custom.

Is the base DC Direct?

The sculpt is actually by Zkulptor, Erick Sosa. Fenix does his molding and casting, and has a professional-level operation. I've seen it, he and I are in the same neck of the woods. It's very cool, very impressive.

Thank you all!

I'll modify the way it sits tomorrow, using my Wolverine as a reference!

Hi Gruff,

I know it's from Eric Sosa, but I never remember how to write it! Szoza, Soza, Sosa... So Fenix was easier! :D

Now, for the color... I use a standrd acrylic medium flesh base with an airbrush.

Then I use oil painting because contrary to acrylics, it doesn't change when it's dry.
I used a light brown, a very dark brown, yellow ochre, white, red and a touch of black.

As for the base, no, it's homemade. A wooden block in the Superman logo shape, the S-shape is cut out linoleum, acrylic painted and plastified with a spray. :D

Actually, I don't think there is an actual recipe and you can probably achieve a matching flesh color in many ways, but if you want to perfectly match HT's flesh tone, the key ingredient is the black!

I don't know much about customs or Superman for that matter, but that still looks weird to me... I'm not trying to trash talk or be overly critical just saying. I think the Royce body just has too long and wide of a neck to work with that sculpt. Who knows though I'm just a newb. :thud:

Congratulations, this Superman looks great! One of the best (if not the best) ones I've seen.:clap
