ANH Han Solo - Official picture thread

Got mine today, but my happiness turned to sadness when I discovered the poor paintjob. It has the red lines near his chin , he also had a large blob of glue on the top of his gunbelt , both of his feet are loose - he won't stand up and finally to add insult to injury the exclusive sticker doesn't stay flat on the box. It keeps curling up .

My sticker does the same, sorry to hear about your Han, you can send it back for an exchange.

Weird !,
My Han also has loose feet - they spin round like propellers. Not a real issue for me as once he's got his wellies on & he's on the stand they're ok.
The stand itself needed to be glued together & my "exclusive" box label also curls up. these things aren't enough to upset me though as i'm real happy with everything alse + now ive re-painted the eyebrow's,hair & eyes it looks better than it did out of the box.
I'll post pic's as soon as my camera battery has recharged.

Didn't really get time to properly check out my newly arrived ANH Solo last night... just checked out the paint apps and tested the joints - all good - happy to see no painted red scars on the chin and no lazy eye. Me = one happy collector

Yeah, haha - it is hard to tell i suppose, i'm not to good with a camera so i'll try to get a better comparison shot posted later on.
The hair was given a dark wash (which was actually lighter than the standard finish) & then dry brushed with a lighter shade of brown)
Eyebrows were removed & redone to match the sculpt & again lightly drybrushed.
The eyes were completely repainted with brown pupils (it may not be accurate to Ford - but it looks better than the originals) a then gloss varnished.

Sideshow RULES! I contacted them about the cut in my Han's nose and they are sending a replacement. I had to take a hammer to Han though, so I thought I'd have fun. This IS the Official Picture Thread, after all!

Say what you want about the buck, but MAN they are sturdy. I had to wail on the thing, and it still took some work. Ah well...off to the recycler with it!

Oh SURE! Mock my grieving Chewie! Let him hear ya and he'll PULL OUT YER ARMS! I tell ya...!

The clothes, hands, gear and box are saved, since Sideshow is sending a new head and body. I wish I didn't have to waste the figure, but they couldn't just send the head. They are really nice about it!

Brinn, that's the Hasbro Chewie with a little reworking done to him correct? I have to say that it is a really good looking Chewie with the work you must've put into him.
