I love the line of white underneath the pupil, Lawtonn! excellent choice. I think it gives him more life to have the pupil raised a bit.

great work!

Got my belt for Han today. It's a small improvement but I like it.

And here's a side by side of my Han and Deak Starkiller's Han that I'll be repainting for him.

Seriously man, I am stoked!! I will post pics and praise when I get him back from you Cocoboloboy. :rock

I really think the eyes are the worst part of the factory paint job. They're just dead. Much worse than other Sideshow figures I have, although I have a tough time putting my finger on exactly what the problem is.

Thanks for the comments Trevolver, sachiel & Jedibear.
Even though the original paint apps weren't as bad in person as they looked in some pics they detracted from the overall brilliance of the sculpt, the skin tone was fine so I didn't touch it I just changed the hair/brows & eyes to make give it more life & try to get a "ford" face that i liked.

I agree, its that deer in the headlights look that sometimes messes with an otherwise great looking figure.

Coco- what paints are you using? I've said all along it's the eyes and lips. I used to paint figures all the time but got out of the practice so I don't know what would be the best paints to use these days.

And if I could figure out an easy way to change that shirt to a very light yellow...

I use Apple Barrel and folkArt paints. Both are made by PLAID. They're cheap, come in a huge assortment of colors and are very easy to find(for me at least).

I use those same brands of acrylics that Adam does. They're mostly found, at least I have found them here at Wal-Mart and Hobby Lobby. I know Les Walker uses a slightly more expensive Testors brand of acrylic paints. I'd send him a PM or e-mail and ask him the exact name for the ones he uses.

Here's a few pictures of my repainted Han Solo. I added some lighter brown into his hair, and lightened his eyebrows. Harrison Ford has very light eyebrows. He looks better in person. The hair and eyebrows don't photograph that well. The flash makes the eyebrows look lighter than I painted them, and the hair looks a little more red than brown. I took the "doll dot" out of his eyes too. Overall I'm very happy with him now.

I have a quick question.

On his left arm, is the part between his elbow and wrist supposed to turn? Mine won't move at all and i'm affaird i'm gonna break it.

Yes. It's possible a little plastic has spread in the mold and fused it together, mine was like that. I took an exacto knife and carefully scored the the forearm joint a few times and it loosend right up.

Mike - Nice job on the repaint dude! :rock
