My latest statement from Sideshow

We wanted to follow up with you regarding your replacement order 0110551 for the 12” Han Solo Smuggler gun accessory. Unfortunately, we no longer have replacements available for the Hangar Bay pistol. Please know that the Returns Department strives to replace damaged items whenever possible and we regret that we are unable to do so in this case.

Ok, another late acquisition...

Here is my bashed "Death Star Han Solo". Trooper belt is actually from Clone Obi. Blaster from ANH Leia. I was simply missing his gunbelt and blaster pistol so decide to go this route. (if anyone has a spare, please don't hesitate to contact me...)

I say the repaint is awesome, really brings out the sculpt & shows us what Han Solo is.

The repaint looks awesome, but it does look a bit shiny.

OK, so those first shots I put up well...uh, sucked. Here's an update.

Note that Josh not only repainted Trevor's incomparable sculpt, but also re-did the mustard gloves, the shirt tint, and of course the chest hair!

I'm a happy Jedi..!

Nice job on the headsculpt, DA. Really brought out the Ford in the sculpt.

I happen to have an extra ANH Han head. If I were to alter his hair and mold a Bespin style hair doo on this sculpt, would it look decent on the Bespin Han figure? Has anyone tried this??

Just a quick clarification which may not needed. Han is the original Sideshow (Trevor Grove) sculpt. Josh pulled of this transformation with paint apps alone.

Now there's no question that that is a tribute to the underlying sculpt by Trevor, but just look at what a paint brush in the hand of a master can do!

Sideshow had their factory paint attempt over that same Trevor sculpt and look what we got. Don't get me wrong, ANH Han out of the box was far better than some we've seen, but there is absolutely no comparison between Josh's work and the original...

Josh, I think I may send you your commission on this over again, because based on the amount of work you did and the result you acheived, the price you charged is frankly embarrassing!

And it is ME who is honored to have a piece of your work in my collection (especially now since that work may be getting extremely limited now..)
