uh... maybe give them a call back tomorrow and describe in detail what you're problem/situation is. I had to do that repeatedly and finally had to break it down to Jennifer in fine detail what my question was; to find out if the HT Para version of Rambo had a normal body or the muscle body.

They declare the Greedo Killer now the regular???? Please SS your are killing us!

It would seem that they manufactured the Greedo blaster for the masses and the standard blaster for the exclusives. What would you do in their position, not having the regular version in abundance?

I would ^^^^^**g stay to my mistakes and start a callback. This is totally ridiculous how they try to get around a clear factory mistake. They are a big company, mistakes happen. All i ask is to correct that mistake and they really should do.

Why dont you guys post this question on the "Ask sideshow collectibles" forum? Dusty answers questiosn there. Also, if you contact Sideshow tell them to look at the picture on the box and tell them you want THAT blaster. Im going to assume that they have to honor that, plus tell them about the "greedo" blaster not fitting properly in the holster. Fortunately I got the exclusive so I got both blasters. Good luck guys.

Here's an interesting question. I really don't see the need for Sideshow to lie about it, so what if, in fact, they were wrong in the Exclusive listing as they stated in their response, and the Greedo killer IS the standard one?

The company's customer service is some of the best. Example: With their The Dead line, one of the figures came back with a flesh tone that was a completely different color than the prototype. Sideshow actually emailed all of the customers who'd preordered it with a photo of the finished product and gave us the opportunity to cancel our orders based on a color variation. That's risking the possible cancellation of a majority of the 1400 preorders. Why? Customer satisfaction. Most companies would've just shipped the figure and dealt with and/or ignored the consumer rage afterward. That doesn't sound like a company wanting to screw over their customers.

Star Wars fans are the most critical of any license they carry. I don't see them wanting to intentionally piss off the 3,000 Star Wars collectors that purchased the regular version. If it was a manufacturing mistake, I think they'd own up to it.

That doesn't make a lick of sense. Why would they make his main gun the exclusive and the one he only uses in one scene the regular? But beyond that, they've advertised on their site for 9 months (and still do) that the exclusive was the cantina blaster, and that the regular came with the "hanger bay" blaster. Even if they had intended to make the regular figure come with the cantina blaster, that's not what they advertised. To change it now after we've all bought the thing would be false advertising.

There's only one possible explanation: somebody screwed up and they made too many of the wrong blaster. In fact, given how long it took me to communicate what the issue was on the phone when I called, I think the message that was posted earlier about "the silver tipped blaster" might just be another example of a miscommunication.

And while I agree that Sideshow's customer service is great overall, I don't have the same high opinion of their quality control. (ANH Luke has green hair for crying out loud, and mine looked like he had been smoking hashish his eyes were so bloodshot.)

Yes.

In essence, yes. But of course that's not how it should be.

Now that's crazy.

Obviously SS isn't going to ship a new (correctly advertised) blaster out to everyone. So I guess the Greedo killer is the regular gun forever now.

Obviously a mistake, not just from the website, but also since the box itself shows the blaster you should be getting.

Hey, just a question. I know Master Replicas made a 1:6 diecast version of Boba Fett's rifle. Didn't they do the same with Han's blaster? If that's the case, there ya go! A replacement, in diecast metal no less!

You sure MR made 1/6 weapons? I though the Boba and Han pieces were 1/2 scale.

I have them both -- they are .33 scale. The sabers are .45 scale (basically half scale).

I picked this up at Toys'r'Us for my butchered Hasbro Fett because the Hasbro rifle sucks monkeynuts. The one in the photo is slightly smaller than the real one. It's the same size as the one Hasbro provided and fits right in with the scale of the figure:

That's why I was asking if they'd produced a Han Solo blaster in the same scale. It'd fit with the Smuggler Han too.

Yeah, I have that one. It's supposed to be 1/3 scale, but you're right that it can work as a 1/6 scale weapon. I wonder if it's actually closer to 1/6.

In any case, the han blaster really is 1/3 scale as it's MUCH too big to use with a 1/6 scale figure. Trust me on this one.

They have changed the images on the Sideshow website so the Greedo pistol is the regular and the hangar bay pistol is the exclusive. I think they swapped the names, too. See the photo in the gallery where they lay out all the accessories.

So that makes it official, I guess. Everyone DOES has the correct blaster after all! Problem solved!
