We were right. The hair is too dark and they changed the material of his tunic.

I'll start the ripping based on the hi-rez...

What is up with that hair!?? I generally give SS the benefit of the doubt when a dark haired character is represented with a hair shade that is too dark, but what am I to make of THIS? We've got a character who was CLEARLY blonde (darker or dish-water blonde to be sure, but unquestionably blonde I think I can emphatically state) and they dump a bucket of dirt brown paint on his head! What gives?

And is it just me who thinks they swapped out a great fitting heavier weight material on the proto tunic for something you'd find on a Kenner/Hasbro piece?

Don't mean to be overly harsh, but if the in-hand shots don't look better than these, this is going to be an easy cancel for me... and I was really looking forward to this as the quintessential/iconic Luke for my 12" collection. Too bad.

Don't mean to be overly harsh, but if the in-hand shots don't look better than these, this is going to be an easy cancel for me... and I was really looking forward to this as the quintessential/iconic Luke for my 12" collection. Too bad.

I admit, the more I look at the tunic, the more I want to cancel. Right now, the only thing that is saving Sideshow is Trevor Grove.

I admit, the more I look at the tunic, the more I want to cancel. Right now, the only thing that is saving Sideshow is Trevor Grove.

I don't think you're going to like it anymore once you get it in hand. You seem to pretty much have made up your mind.

Guess I should have read the updates to the original ANH Luke thread before posting. Looks like ths tunic issue has already been beaten to death... No apologies, though. SS needs to hear our dissapoint loudly and often on this choice.

You would think that if on no other piece they would have chosen not to compromise on this one - arguably the most important/representative character in his most recognized/iconic presentation of their most important license. Where's the justice..?

Hair looks about the same color to me...just the skin tone is lighter on the prod piece so the hair looks darker.

But the tunic -- at least in these photos -- remains the big disappointment.

Hopefully not as big as Leia's dress.

Yeah, I see what you mean WG, the head looks about the same.. just less detail and paler. Everything else came out great except for the tunic.

As long as it is not a poly material like the ANH Leia dress, I will be happy. It needs to be weathered.
