I'm thinking there might be an issue with the blast helmet actually fitting on his head properly so my guess is the T-16. I'd love to get that either way though.

Too bad the heads don't come off as easy as the hands. Then they could include a helmet head as an accessory.

You're right, he's not their only good sculptor, but he is their best imo. Trevor is to SSC what Yulli is to HT. Heck, I think he's even more important because SSC doesn't have high quality tailoring or a great base body to offset any deficiencies in the sculpts. So when you live and die by the sculpts, a guy who hits a grand slam everytime up to the plate is a saving grace imo.

Its not the expression of preference that I am talking about. We all have our preferences (mine happens to be Trevor at the moment as well). Its the insinuation that Trevor is SS's "saving grace". As if the company would be nothing without him. Not a whole lot of tact nor fact there, considering who reads these forums.

I seriously doubt any of the Sideshow artists are crying themselves to sleep over what they read on this board.

You know, that never even crossed my mind with the helmet. Now I could care less if it comes with the helmet or not because unless they do swappable heads, the hair will not accommodate a good helmet fit. Good call Coco.

Never said they were.

(pix forgets that hyperbole usually trumps reading comprehension in the SW forum). :D

(just kidding TOM.) ;)

No, I get what you were saying, and all I'm saying is we don't have to be overly sensitive to their feelings just because they may be reading what we say. They're artists, I'm sure they're used to hearing unpleasant comments on their work from time to time. They can stick up for themselves if need be.

Sadly, while you can remove the head of a male Sideshow figure with heat, it's not built to swap out. The only way I see Luke having swappable heads to allow for the helmet is if they've completed their new body and he's the first adult figure to premier it, providing the adult body adopts the HT style necks like the Hobbit body has, that allows for easy swap.

Oh yeah, I didn't think about Boushh (probably because I don't have one).

You should correct that mistake... she's one of the best in the series. And looks good with Jabba (and if you don't have that we can't be friends anymore).

Oh, good point... I forgot about the head being ball jointed on female characters. Nevermind :monkey2

Same here. If it can't be worn then I don't care to have it. I'd still love to have Luke's toy ship as an accessory though.

I read in Sculpting A Galaxy that he actually broke it in that scene when he tries to set it down. :monkey2

I sold Jabba et al last year when trying to pay off some debt. I still regret doing it, but it was for a good cause. I'd like to try to get it all back at some point. Can you still be my friend? :D

The painted shot there looks awesome! I'm as anxious as you guys to see the prototype photos.

Definitely has a "I want to learn the ways of The Force and become a Jedi like my father." vibe to it.

That scene was a big influence on the sculpture. That turning point for Luke, you know. Also, though, it goes back to simply needing an expression that won't look too awkward in various scenarios. I had wanted to give him the parted mouth look, but I 'had a bad feeling about it'. :) I thought he'd look much too shocked by everything...or perhaps like he never got over Beru and Owen dying. (which, we all know he gets over that really damn quick! haha)

I don't know if Sideshow will release any shots of the bare sculpt in the blog like they did with Han. I think it depends on you guys asking for it.
thanks!
Trev

Just a note - it's my goal to encourage participation by the artists here on the forum. As I've always said, criticism is welcome but tact and diplomacy are imperative.

Trev, great choice on path to take Luke's expression in for this film. The open lips thing really wasn't prevalent, or even there?, in A New Hope, perhaps some of the accident damage in his face played into that as well. I think what you went with best captures him in ANH, downtrodden, yet hopefull, a little "I was going to the Toschi Station to pick up some power converters," mixed with the yearning from the sunset shot. Man, when you start to analyze Luke in ANH, he really had an air of boo-frickity-hoo about him :lol

Excellent, will make it even cooler when I replicate that shot with Luke and Ben :)
