I'm also in the camp of good but not great. A solid effort but had some flaws that fortunately didn't kill the movie. Rudd had to carry the movie on his own, with a little support from Pena but that was about it.

Btw for those who've seen it,
does anyone have a shot of the prototype Wasp suit they showed in the end credits?

Can't wait to see it in action...and the eventual figure.

Up there for sure for me. Going to see it again this week.
My favorites:
Iron Man
Avengers
Captain America First Avenger
Ant-Man
Captain America Winter Soldier
Thor

What was the name of his pet ant? I liked hope more than any of them, surprisingly enough. One thing I was annoyed about was how we know Scott will be in civil war. It killed any suspense for me. I guess it's my own fault for reading the headlines but I think the extreme sequel announcements is undermining the drama. The comedy and action are always good with marvel but there's barely any drama. Anyway, I'm going to search the thread for an explanation of the last credits scene but if it hasn't been discussed yet please inform me

I liked it but didn't see anything great about it. Mom wants to see it so maybe i'll think better of it the second time but I doubt it. I tried to watch GOTG twice and got bored with it the second time. I feel like this will be the same.

It was a great little movie, it didn't aspire to much but it did it very well.
Great fun overall.

Oh and I liked it more than AOU.

Interesting how Marvel used real cities for all their movies except AOU which used a fake european country.

I wonder if by using a made up country fans didn't feel a connection.

DC can get away with it, but maybe not Marvel.

First Iron Man movie + Honey I Shrunk the Kids + Batman Beyond = Ant-Man

....and you know what? it worked! I loved the movie! Probably even more so than AOU and definitely more than Guardians of the Galaxy.

Yellow Jacket is one of the coolest looking cbm characters converted to cinema.

Some of the fighting though was too frentic and hard to keep up with.

I don't know if I can sit thru the scenes with his friends again though just to get to the good parts.

Box office tepid for AM- should be around $60 million opening weekend. Lowest opening for Marvel in years.
Not a surprise- also a wake up call in my opinion for Marvel that anything they churn out isn't going to break records and make tons of money- it breaks an impressive streak like most people predicted.
We'll see AM next on Infinity Wars I guess but no stand alone sequel

It'll be what it'll be....it's still a good movie
