yeah, it took 60 years to make movies out of the books, so maybe SSC is planning the line to last over that period of time. So that's a new 12" every leap year and 2 PFs per decade.

Seriously though, I'm guessing Faramir will be PREVIEWED this Thursday (Nov 2) for a PPO the following Friday (Nov 10). Of course, SS may wait until the next podcast (Nov 9) to make the preview.

I have word that Sideshow has changed their minds on doing Faramir. Instead, they're doing the rest of the LOTR PF line as bobbleheads, and the Faramir sculpt will be used as the basis for the long awaited "Background PT Jedi #403."

i read at the chat that Sideshow has been talking about a LOTR diorama, but they are not sure yet. I really hope they pull through with it.

We also did learn that the entire Fellowship is being planned as PFs and that, don't worry, there will be an increase in LOTR items in 07.

Seriously though it's good to hear they are pumping out more stuff in 2007; I would totally start buying PF figures if I wasn't on a starving student budget--1/6 is hard enough as it is! My question, if you can forgive my ignorance, is, what do they mean by a diorama? Is that like the Rivendell bridge or something, or does it imply something even larger (or smaller)? I'm totally up for whatever it is if it means an awesome display, but what would it be comprised of? At least, what are your guesses?

The thing about this is that I'd love to the Fellowship in PFs and I'd probably buy them all but the Frodo is set up as such and individual piece and I would have rather have had them with bases that could be placed next to one another and look like one amazingly huge PF showpiece....

Just so I am clear, I can't listen to podcasts or chat from work and that is my only computer connection currently, are the LOTR dioramas like the Marvel VS. Series, or are they thinking about environments for the 1/6 scale figure line? I can't afford to start a new line (heck, I can't afford to collect what I already do...) but I would be very interested in environments. I plan to get the PF line though, since it is so slow, I can save up for these larger purchases!

To be clear, the key words on the Dioramas are MAYBE and FUTURE. But what I have been suggesting would be like Peopled Environments. What Sideshow may (OR MAY NOT) come up with my be somewhat different from that.

I think there could be some very cool possibilities for this line. I can't afford the lines I'm already collecting so this would have to be an unfortunate pass. Plus I would think it might slow down the already slow 12" and PF lines.
