I was wondering if there are any vegetarians on this board. I really would like to know what supplements or vitamins etc. you have to take to maintain a healthy body. Meat has always been a part of my diet but lately I have been shying away from it- I am really just not into it. In short I just feel more comfortable eating vegetables but want to know how to still get all the nutrients and things I will be missing if I exclude meat from my diet.

I still haven't decided if I want to go full vegetarian but the idea is looking a lot more appetizing to me lately so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you cut out meat and fish all together, you're going to have to get protein in you somehow. You're going to have to eat alot of nuts and beans.

Not a vegetarian, but I understand that soy can be used to replace a fair amount of the protein that you miss out on without beef.

Alot of women have to watch their intake of soy. It mocks estrogen in the body. Not sure how it would react to men if they ate alot of it.

Although its still funny to me how not eating meat is (sometimes seriously) considered a bad thing by others

It goes the other way too. I have vegans in my family. It can get nasty at times.

Whether you eat meat or grains, animals are going to die. You can't avoid it unless you grow your own food.
