Here we go with the stupid bashing.

Dude seriously? I believe bashing is the term now that interweb people get pissed about. Why do you care? Seriously! LOL! This is the interweb! LOL! Don't lose any sleep tonight. I promise tomorrow is a new day. :lol What is the difference between "bashing" and utter "love"? They are both the same. And you know what? I MAKE my own opinion on anything I see, hear, touch, or smell. No one will ever tell me different. So let people BASH and let others LOVE. Bottom line is who the ____ cares? I missed taste. Damn I do love a nice clean>>>>> nevermind. LOL!

I was like I want that kind of love one day.
*points and laughs* :lol :peace

I haven't seen Avatar yet, so I honestly can't compare the two, but I will say this--Titanic has Bill Paxton in it. Therefore, it is better than Avatar. Also, it is better because people did not want to kill themselves because they wished they could have died on the Titanic. Also, Titanic didn't have stupid looking CG aliens. For these additional reasons, Titanic was better than Avatar. And finally, boobies. I assume that if any are shown in Avatar, they are of blue aliens, and personally, I can live without that.

So: Titanic > Avatar

Does not mean Titanic deserved the Oscar, but eh, one Oscar winner is just as good as the next most of the time.

My wife and i saw Avatar and we both liked it but the first thing she said to me when we walk out of the movie was "That was a live action Fern Gully".
Don't think i am bashing the movie because i am not.It was a good movie with great SFX and thats all.
Just because it reminds my wife and I of an animated kids movie does not mean i'm bashing it.

Im sorry i just find it stupid that people will dislike you for watching a movie, Im new to this whole forum thing ,I see people making fun of other people for not liking the same thing and i think its quite stupid imo. Yea you dont have to like the movie or show but to constanly remind people how much you hate it and to give facts that nobobdy cares about is weird to me.
I agree this movie is the most cliche movie i ever saw but what movie isnt. Im sorry if i went off the deep end though lol.:D

Has this has made international news Found this on ninemsn.
Thousands of Avatar fans have reported feeling depressed and even suicidal at the prospect of never being able to visit the mystical planet depicted in the movie.

One of the biggest internet forums for the hit film has received more than a thousand posts on a thread entitled 'Ways to cope with the depression of the dream of Pandora being intangible', CNN reports.

The forum has shown a marked comedown from experiencing the computer-generated utopia depicted in the film to the real world for many Avatar fans.

The fictional planet of Pandora is shown as a beautiful fantasy world where the native inhabitants, the Na'vi, have a close bond with nature.

"After I watched Avatar at the first time, I trully felt depressed as I 'wake' up in this world again," one forum user wrote.

Another commenter said the film gave him "a physical dependency to see Pandora and live there, and if you don't see it you get uber depressed."

Meanwhile, the movie is attracting accusations of being racist by critics in the US by portraying a white man coming in to lead a community of primitive, non-white people.

"It rests on the stereotype that white people are rationalist and technocratic while colonial victims are spiritual and athletic," New York Times columnist David Brooks wrote.

"It rests on the assumption that non-whites need the White Messiah to lead their crusades."

But director James Cameron denied the film had an racist undertones, saying Avatar "asks us to open our eyes and truly see others, respecting them even though they are different, in the hope that we may find a way to prevent conflict and live more harmoniously on this world".

"I hardly think that is a racist message," he added.

Already taking in more than $1.5 billion in ticket sales since its release last month, Avatar is well on track to become the biggest selling movie of all time.

Directed by James Cameron of Titanic and Terminator fame, the sci-fi blockbuster stars Australian actor Sam Worthington.

The film is also considered a heavy favourite to scoop the pool in the Golden Globes and Academy Awards.

I realise i wrote that it was ridiculous to fall in love with a 9ft blue alien but i do remember getting a slight stir about the green alien Kirk shacks with in Star Trek, the green woman and Zoe half nekked in one scene was quite greatly appreciated!

Believe it or not I still actually enjoyed the movie for what it was. I just don't care what others think. Haha!

Yeah, but that was just a chick wearing green paint, so your feelings are acceptable. It was an actual human being, not a cartoonish alien made from computers. Getting aroused by cartoon characters is not normal.
