Yea and look at the success behind those movies. And not one of them is original . It was how it was done that caught peoples attention.:whip

You also have to put into a account that this movie was hyped up beyond belief. And you'd think with all that time he spent working on it, he'd create a better story.

I get why the story is what it is. But it still is disappointing. It was too predictible. So much so, that on my first viewing, I didnt enjoy it as much as I did the second time. I mapped out the entire plot within 15 minutes of the movie.

Dude i knew what the plot would be like when i saw the trailer, to be honest i almost fell asleep on my second viewing because i knew what was going on but i still loved the movie. Movie was just good imo. I cant explain but it was somthing about the way it was done that struck me. It was just epic. Although its really sad to see losers like this guy obsessing over a blue cat lady lol.

haHAhahahaha! would james cameron be among those who have slipped into a deep depression because pandora isn't real? :monkey1

part of me would like to think that those folks are just taking the piss. sadly, the age of the internet has bred many new types of pathetic losers. it reminds me of idiots who cannot function without their mobile phones...

wait... if Pandora was real wouldn't we be fighting a war with them anyway or does this guy want to be a cg blu cat himself ?. :lol

Hilarious either way. :lol:lol

Yea the scariest thing is, I dont care. Plus i misposted what i meant is up on the top of the page. But when it comes to avatar i could care less about its predictable plot i loved the movie either way. Im a big fan of those kinda conflicts in movies.

I am pretty sure that guy was playing around with them. Nobody can be that ____ed up....

There are three stickied threads dealing with the issue on that forum, and the majority of posters attest to having experienced multiple symptoms.

Yes, somebody(s) can be that ____ed up. They couldn't tell the difference between reality and fantasy before the film, and now that someone has made a bunch of pretty pictures giving tangible representation to their fantasy, they are even less capable of dealing with what is actually real.

The truly retarded thing is that the Navi are not humanity in a pre-industrial state, Western civilization is not representative of the thugs who have 'raped' a planet, our resources are not depleting, and society as it is now, with all of its 'unnatural' features, has not separated humanity from its true identity.

I'm guessing that people who are experiencing spiritual identification with this fictional planet have a major issue with being human, which means they are at odds with their own identities. The movie is providing them with a form of psychological release from what they hate most: themselves. When the film ends, they are left with nothing but the same sad life they had before, as well as a powerful presentation of the suggestion that they don't have to accept their fate if they help to save their own planet, i.e. that they are right to feel bad, but there is hope to be like their adopted species by obeying ecologically motivated injunctions to submit to, and promote, any of a thousand different privations concocted by those who consider themselves to be the high clergy of the movement.

It's pretty disturbing.

But, not as disturbing as learning that they don't have fuzzy boobs. :monkey2

If that is the case, what is the word for beyond disturbing? And my name on here does not count as a word.
