Granted if my order doesn't go through, I won't be chomping at the bit to buy one at retail (which I will agree are a little pricey). But like I said, if can find one at that price again I'd take it in a heartbeat.

I have the 1:1 Red/Blue version and I want to pose the two together nose to nose (like a face off.) I saw another member on the board (may have been LOTRfan) who had pics of the two together. And I thought they really complimented each other.
Yes it was LOTRFan, they look incredible together.
You're lucky to have the Red/Blue 1:1, its awesome :rock, I hope your order goes through ok, it seems like they like they are :rock

Thanks Adoptedscot. :rock

The 1:1 are nice, but I can't believe how much room they take up. And like I mentioned in this thread earlier, I was surprised when I got mine to realize that the piece is hollow (with exception of the base.) I realize if it was solid it would weigh a ton but I guess that never really crossed my mind before.

Is that how Venom and the rest of the 1:1 busts are typically?

Ya spidey is hollow.. My thoughts are if it was solid the neck sticking out and the head would make it unstable...

Or its just a money saving moove w/ material and shipping..

Note the Hulk PF is heavy and solid whereas the Thing is hollow.. Go figure..

It even goes back to Weta. Some of the busts were hollow and some were solid. Made no sense.

I'm talking to Skiman right now about that very same thing. :lol

Thanks for the info. Bodie. Very true about the Spidey head. It would make it VERY top heavy if that were the case.

Yeah they are huge. I thought my PF's took up a lot of room but these are unreal...
Venom is solid.. Not hollow.. Very heavy..
:lecture
Yup, Bodie's right, Venom is solid, HUGE and solid, so so heavy, i think it weighs about 35lbs or something?.Outstanding piece but you gotta make sure its on a stable shelf/shelving unit thats for sure :rock

So how much heavier is Hulk to Thing then?.

I have the Thing and I cant lift him or even move him, my carer's boyfriend has to do it for me, whats Hulk like, is it like Venom 1:1 heavy??

Just curious with this being brought up
thanks

Just looked up Hulk on the Sideshow site.. they have its weight as 35 pounds, yet the estimated shipping weight at 76 pounds... Believe me.. Hulk is waaaay more than 35 pounds.. As I said, I can see it as 50.. Most likely more..

Wow, i cant even imagine that.
When the Thing was delivered to me he sat in his box in my hallway for 2 days where the postie left it, until I could get my friend to move it into the living room for me. So if Hulk is like almost double the weight then thats just unreal.
I've never seen a Hulk in person but they do look massive.

Total shipping weight on Hulk is like 50-55 lbs.

Same size as Thing, just solid instead of hollow.

I think the Thing may even bigger (size wise) but the Hulk is definitely 50-55 pound range.

I wouldn't buy this bust even at the reduced price because I am just not a fan of it. It's way too simple and they incorrectly put on the symbiote emblem. I would stare at it and think "well, there's $185 I will never get back." :lol

Congrats though if you actually like it and didn't buy it just because it was cheap. :D:banana

If the order goes through......

But when I first saw these two, I originally liked the Symbiote better just because it was "the" variant. After getting the Red/Blue 1:1, I couldn't imagine it looking any better. So it all works out in the end. This is the original 1:1 I wanted and now (with a little luck) I'll have both.
