I originally found the hobby because a friend collects 1/6 figures. Thought they looked cool, went to the website, saw the statues. 1/4 scale statues blow away the figure most of the time. Hated the fact that they were just high quality action figures.

The statues are so exactly what I wanted.

I'm a little different though in that I want my avengers 5 man team, and then I'm stepping out of buying until money really isn't an issue.

It's a weird hobby. Hot Toys are absolutely incredible and so impressive, but it's also bizarre that my 1/6 Hawkeye could basically pay for this apocalypse statue. I like statues because I feel more comfortable putting them around the house. It may not be right, but there is an element of social "acceptance" with statues that you don't get with anything posable, even amazing, ridiculously expensive hot toys. Not that this is much of a factor in my collecting, but it does influence where I will display things. A statue here and there in the living room looks incredible. A 1/6 hot toy, or some random gokin, don't really look great like that and need their own display section. Statues can tie into a regular room more.

I agree completely. My avengers team is going to be displayed on my lit glass desk in my living room, under my wall mounted TV. So anyone that walks in my place will see them, so I'd like them to sit well with "the public". Haha

As weird as it may sound, I want people to inevitably continue looking away from what ever is on TV to look at my 1/4 scale avenger display.

Thanks! Yeah, it's not ex or fail. I personally like the gun arm, but it's nice to have the option of the saw. My wife approves of the statue as well, so win win!

Btw, I would rate this statue an 8. Everyone has different tastes. But for example, I like the batman of, but for some reason I never loved it. I almost just feel obligated to keep it because I want the trinity and already have superman and wonder woman on order.
My scores for my current pieces I have received lately would be:

Apoc: 8
Batman PF: 6
Venom com: 10
Spidey com: 8
Carnage com: 8
Darth maul mythos:9
Boba fett mythos:9
Punisher com: 10
Conan fury of the beast: 1000

This is just my opinion for a frame of reference.
How does it compare for you guys?

I like this a bit better than batman pf as well. I don't have any of the others on that list to compare it to. I like it about the same as my deadpool, a little more than galactus, less than Sauron, way more than dark rider pf and more than great ultron.

To the comment above about not being EX or fail, totally agree. Glad I have the ex, but I prefer the cannon arm to the chainsaw overall.

You do need the venom. I hunted that down since I first started. It is a must own in my opinion. Not many statues wow me as soon as I open the box. Venom made me gitty. Same goes for conan. Tbh I think venom is worth spending grail price on.

Cant wait to get mine!!! Sadly my flex doesnt finish until the end of next month :-( heres hoping my reg order gets converted to the ex one but I doubt it since I only got on the wait list a month ago :-( I really like the chainsaw, fingers crossed....

Are you sure you are trying to limit your statues? Seems to me you have more statues than figures.
