the apple store connects to the at&t servers, hence why nobody is getting their order through... it's one gigantor cluster ____

Ahh. Makes sense...... I don't think there was ANY way that the servers could handle this overload

Yeah, you can't get in by phone or otherwise right now. Just a waiting game really since I can get all the way to verifying the account before it crashes. So like Bagels said until At&t fixes things on their end we ain't doing crap anyplace.

that doesn't mean anything. they could promise 200 customers iphones, but come launch day, could only get orders for 10.... once again, it's AT&T's servers here!

I'm just wondering, why would anyone wait in a long line when you could pre-order?? But in this case, waiting in line is probably gonna be the only option if AT&T doesn't fix their servers!!!!!!!

I find this whole ordeal mindboggling! These are 2 big ass companies one being Apple... you would think they would have the bugs worked out by now!

Yup! Doesn't matter where you go or if you're creating a new account. If AT&T servers are down the stores have no communication with AT&T to complete the transaction. You just get to sit in a store and wait instead of with us on the computer.

Service has been a bit up and down for me the last couple days. Could be fun the 24th till they get a handle on it.

Oh I'm sure you'll get on the list quickly but if they have to communicate any with the server today you might be in trouble.
