Marvel has so many that its virtually impossible to come up with a new superhero. Try it -- make one up and I bet Marvel already has a version close enough that they will sue you if you ever were to make enough money off it.

The Master-Baiter. He has the ability to click bait people online, in forums, adds, on your phone, you can't escape his tricks. How does this make him a hero you say? Well, he's connected telepathically to the internet, thus giving him complete access to everyone online, even villains, and so he distracts them with false adds and fake news. When he's not being a hero, he goes by D i c k Johnson, adult film star. :monkey3

DC doesn't have 25 interesting superheroes.

Marvel has more than 25.

Want to see something sad: go into the DC section. The HT DX09 Keaton Batman from 2011 is still on the first page.

Nah don’t say that. DC easily has more than 25 interesting heroes. Let’s not get crazy here. Iron man and Thor weren’t on the level they are now. So if DC puts faith in these guys like they did Aquaman then they can compete with marvel.

Dc had way more shows out before marvel did and was killing it during the early 2000s and 90s they just never had faith movie wise except for Batman. Now there characters are making bank so they finally see that they didn’t need to shoe horn Batman in everything

Is DC still trying to make Grayson, Todd, Drake, Damian cool.

:chase

It’s weird. They mush them all together so they make one robin. They take attributes from Tim, then some from Jason and give it to **** grayson

I agree that DC probably has plenty of interesting heroes, but are they compelling enough and/or unique enough to entice the general public? At this stage of the game, I think besides being viewed as always playing catch up to Marvel they may also fall victim to the inevitable superhero fatigue.

Kevin Hart's new film stopped AM from being the first Warner Bros flick to be #1 for four weeks in a row since TDK. So close.

But at least it still hit a billion dollars.

Are you rooting for Aquaman...or just DC? And why?

Alice in Wonderland hit a billion dollars 10 years ago and it didn't give us a world of Alice movies, just one lousy sequel too many years later. Is it such a trick anymore to hit a billion? Seems like nearly 7-10 movies a year do it.

Hm I think she started the whole live action remake trend

I'm just happy that DC movies are being successful.
Personally, I liked MOS and BvS (Director's Cut) better than WW and AM, but those didn't seem to go so well with the general public and critics, so I'm glad we're getting good (mind you, not really great) movies of beloved characters.

Aquaman making a billion gives the DCEU something to build on, maybe it gives them confidence to work with Cavill and Affleck again, which would be fantastic IMHO.
I have a feeling that Shazam might do really well, thanks to its (apparently) more lighthearted approach (fitting, considering the juvenile hero), and WW84 is a pretty safe bet... also, Birds of Prey will probably be a hit, just because of the novelty factor, and the Joker movie might be a surprise hit (or it might bomb terribly), so that's two pretty safe bets (WW84 and BOP) and two possible surprise hits (Shazam and the Joker) for the DCEU following on the heels of two well received box office hits. Not bad.

Man remember when Affleck being attached to the DCEU was like a god send he was going to write and direct and be the tip of the creative spear.

JM was just an afterthought bit player muscle head.

Now Affleck is in a psych ward and JM is the freaking tip of that spear just crazy.

Not Snyder, not Affleck, not Geoff Johns but Jason freaking Mamoa lol

The day Aquaman box office surpass that abomination TLJ will mark another "achievement" of queen Kay Kay's administration at Lucasfilm :).

Not going to happen as it stands AM domestic is pretty mediocre sitting below BvS, WW and SS it was saved by international.

With just Japan left to go it won’t surpass TLJ 1.4 billion.

I certainly don’t need to see Aquaman 2 in my lifetime lol

But good for Wan/JM they can go on to make Fast and Insidious 8.

But in the end, Aquaman just takes Wonder Woman and makes her his. Too soon?

Actually, the way Momoa acts as Aquaman, its more likely that WW makes him her beech.
