I’m not a fan of either yet both delivered.

They were definately more wooden in JL here they had alot more to do.

The audience in the theater were very much into this movie what a fun experience it turned out to be.

Not Avengers 1 opening night audience levels of greatness but everyone still clapped and cheered.

Hmm multiple people saying that audiences are clapping and cheering. I don't think I've ever seen a movie that got applauded and NOT had a good time so it sounds like I need to see this soon while the auditoriums are full! :rock

(Watch I go and it's like "The VVitch" where people are opening cursing at the movie at the end, lol)

2nd viewing.. IMAX3D last night and Atmos 2D this evening. They crammed a lot into this film so I'M actually glad I viewed it twice. You have to get used to a few things in this film and suspend all disbelief. As with most comic book related films but a little more with Aquaman.
I'M an animation freak so I'M always hard on CGI but I have to give a pass on this film because of the magnitude of the special effects.I enjoyed this film and at both showings honestly the Audience did clap at the end. This is a very good comic book film IMO.

I’m still thinking about it! Loved it. Bumblebee was also good but this was epic for me. Thst last sequence of Aquaman was just greatness.

A rare 10/10 for me. I was hooked from the beginning. Nonstop action, great visuals, good cast, and a great score. Some insane action sequences and just an awesome movie. I saw it at IMAX and they had it cranked which also added to the experience.

The entire crowd applauded and was yelling at the end. Incredible movie for me. I’m going to see it again for sure. Love love love it.

My session the crowd applauded twice once after the movie and once after the mid credit scene.

I respect the movie for being so ambitious it tries to have an IW type scale even though it’s only about Atlantis it really swung for the fences.

AM deserves the 800 million box office not that tiny Venom crap.

This is going to be TLJ all over again Khev and I will love it while JAWS hates it lol

I don't Hate AM... I would say it just had no impact on me. I did not like some parts. Loved the first 20, and just could not get into the action or Atlantis.

Its too harmless to hate. We will never have Epic debates over this film like we did TLJ :)

Hmmmm Gruson and I literally agree on 99 % of the films we see... I wish I could have gotten the same thrills Gru and Jye did.

Nobody clapped at mine and the audience only laughed at one Joke..

Having said that.. People seemed to enjoy it afterwards.

This did not have a Witch or Hereditary type audience reaction :lol :lol

I think I really checked out in this film during the Desert flirtation scenes and the Black Manta montage scene.. I was already board but I was not cringing. Those two moments took me out of the movie. Guy playing Black Manta was just an awful actor... In and out of the suit.

If this movie had a better main villian and cut out the the flirtation scenes or did them better then I would have been into this movie a lot more. I am sure of it.

Better than Skull Island where he loved it (initially) and you and I hated it, lol. Always more fun to love something.

I hope that's the case with this one but man I just don't care for Mamoa as AM and what's her name just looks like a block of wood. A super hot block of wood but still wood, lol.

I think you meant she is super hot and gave you a block of wood. She's not a great actress but hot as you said.

It’s a wacky movie I think I saw a kitchen sink go flying by lol

I watched the Spiderman cartoon and AM back to back nights and I had a TON more fun with AM.

It’s certainly not without its faults but the cheesefest just worked for me like many of the B movies I grew up enjoying.

Trump just passed a bill preventing any more negative talk about Aquaman from JAWS. Now jye has a chance winning a movie debate against him. :chase

:lol

To be honest the desert scene was the only part in the film that felt tonally just a bit off to me. I mean it's quite endearing to see Mera and Arthur have their back and forth like that, but for a minute I thought I was watching a different film. Maybe that part was part of the reshoots?

I thought it was an amazing ride that never let up. Easily my favorite film of the year. I was totally in the universe, on the edge of my seat. Loved the two main actors and supporting cast. That sound too from IMAX really helped, literally shaking you every explosion.

Going back to see it again next week. Haven’t done that with a movie since Jurassic World 1.

Just saw this. A great hero movie that follow the hero's journey formula. He's a reluctant hero, who journey to unknown territory to come back with an item/knowledge that would aid him or humanity. The post scene was good except:

Manta was defeated and cast down at the beach. How the heck does he end up on a wooden raft and saved by boatmen? Simply wrong. And of course, authorities didn't get their hands on him but had to be that guy on the news. And of course, the helmet was still fully functional; supposedly repair or w/e. Guess there had to be a sequel.
