Re: Aragorn Maquette - Order NOW, link in 1st post.

All it took was the right product to do so, hopefully SS takes note. :yess: :hi5:

I think this is the type that will hit the best though I think the Dio's could be. For whatever reason the others don't. IMO cause some can't get past the clothes/non full statue and some choices here and there. Statues is where it started with LOTR really so its the best bet as I said to get going.

It would make this old timer here happy to see this section get going again.

Re: Aragorn Maquette - Order NOW, link in 1st post.

They have added two 360 turnarounds--one hooded and one unhooded.

Take them for a spin, and tell me that this piece doesn't look fantastic.

This may sound like a stupid question, but for people that have collected Sideshow Exclusive polystone in the past, how do you display exclusive swap out heads?

They are magnets. Very easy to swap heads.

Agreed, this line is looking fantastic!!!! Very detailed for sure.

Re: Aragorn Maquette - Order NOW, link in 1st post.

I guess I was asking if people display the second unused head near the statue or on a base, or if they keep them in the box...I know the Moria Orc had a swap out head, and I was curious as to how/if people display the extraneous exclusive parts that are not currently attached to the statue/PF.

Thanks for the heads up about the magents though, certainly more stable than a pin and socket!

Re: Aragorn Maquette - Order NOW, link in 1st post.

I always keep my extra heads in the box.

Re: Aragorn Maquette - Order NOW, link in 1st post.

I've only seen se7en once. Believe it or not, I find it too disturbing a film for repeated viewings. :(

But to answer the question, I keep my exclusive spare parts organized in a special drawer I've designated to keep all that stuff safe and easily accessible.

You are probably right about the Ringers preferring fully sculpted pieces, it does have that element of where it all began. I completely agree with you as well regarding the diorama line; had SS been more careful with their selections I don't see how they wouldn't have been huge sellers.

Just took a peak and it does improve the overall look of the figure seeing it like that. The horrible look of the face from the preview pic looks toned down once you see it more in context - mostly the lines by his cheeks threw it off for me.

Pretty glad I PO one now...

Just seems to be where most like things at least from my POV.

Guess I'm going to preorder a regular from BBTS since I have some remaining credit with them, and the Gandalf was just too stunning not to jump into this line.

Your WL will probably go through though, with this price-point there are sure to be plenty of cancellations.

Lots of items get that anymore. That are in the price range not just this item.

Re: Aragorn Maquette - Order NOW, link in 1st post.

Well, I'm looking for a cost efficient way to get the Aragorn, and personally think I can live without the unhooded portrait. With $50 remaining at BBTS, I don't think I will be ordering from Sideshow.

The first two pieces are very nice in this line. :D

Re: Aragorn Maquette - Order NOW, link in 1st post.

I understand that. If you can save a little its a good idea.

Re: Aragorn Maquette - Order NOW, link in 1st post.

Exclusive Edition size is 550. Thats pretty low really for any piece.

Re: Aragorn Maquette - Order NOW, link in 1st post.

Yeah that's not too bad actually.
