In my I it really depends on the brand you are going to collect.

For me 1/6 scale is unreached an will always be. It has been here for almost 50 years now and will stay. However instead of GI Joe, I prefer movie stuff nowadays.

1/12 scale or 6-7 inch has always been perfect for action figures. I would always prefer He-Man, Marvel and DC comics in that scale.

1/4 has never been that appealing to me. Not even the HT and EB Batman figures. However I prefer 1/4 in statues. PFs are just the best statue scale.
However there are always exceptions: DC Batman Black & White is easily one of the best statue lines in my eyes, yet the scale is 1/12. also the Tweeterhead 1/6 statues are simply hot.

Summed up, 1/12 is a nice addition to the market but nothing more than another alternative. It will not push 1/6 out.

Oh and yes, I would buy a 3 inch for 65 if the suit was tailored right. Just imagine a 3 inch Indy or Marty McFly with real clothes and a natural flow. :lol
