For all you guys worrying about blu-ray prices. This might be a solution. A buddy of mine put me up to this. He has a small chain of video stores near his house. NOW, the sell off used DVDs, and he has gotten pretty much few viewed blu-ray movies for like $10-$15 each. Try to find a stores like this and get them used.

I just quit working at a store like this (we bought and sold used cds/dvds) and I can tell you the savings are worth it. For the most part (if the store has any kind of quality standards) the disks will still look pretty much like new. Plus, we used to get a good deal of "shady characters" who would come in with new release titles within a day or two of their release date....most of them still wrapped, so we never had to wait long to really get something we wanted to see.

My husband and I, over 2 years working there, have probably collected over 400 DVD's (we should NEVER have an excuse to say there is nothing to watch)! I can't remember how many blu-ray and HD movies we have, but I know it takes up a whole shelf on a large sized dvd rack.....so a good many.

We pretty much never buy movies new anymore.

Hell yeah Kit, tell em buddy. People are just negative on others sometimes because they don't enjoy their own life. AVP was great, AVP:R was great. They are MOVIES people.
