Re: Are you satisfied with the $20/$30 you paid for Ground Zeroes (aka. the MGS V Dem

Knew exactly what I was getting into when I picked it up. Wouldn't have bought it if I didn't expect it to be worth it.

Agreed, having a great time with the game. The replay value is very high.

I guess I should be satisfied because I got my copy free (wouldn't have even played otherwise) but if I had to pay $30 for it there is no way I would be happy.

Ill say yes. Because im not one of the guys who like to pretend that the Ground Zeroes mission is the only thing on the disc. It took me about 5 hours do to everything. I did take my time in certain aspects of missions while experimenting but i always had a mission goal. I havent even free roamed in the game post-completion. And given the game is £20, a full game is £40. Going by the price the only thing i can say is would i value a 10hour game at £40? Thats the norm, in fact maybe thats a bit generous because theres a whole list of games i can bring up where im done before the 10 hour mark.

Now, my Ground Zeroes is on ebay as we speak. But thats only because i never buy a game at full retail and then keep it. I buy games upon release, sell whilst theyre still new after my initial completion and purchase again down the line when the price has bottomed out.

I usually do the same, I’m keeping this for the Yoji art. The campaign was shorter than I would of liked it to be, but trying to S rank all the missions has been quite challenging and really fun.

It was exactly as I expected it to be, short and limited but fun and replayable.

I just don't understand how Kojima made such a short game when I normally clock 22hrs on one playthrough of an MGS game. I had 22hrs on each of my first playthroughs of Twin Snakes, MGS3, MGS4 and I'm past 30hrs on Peace Walker, shame that GZ only took me 1hr 10mins; especially since I always take my time on MGS (hence the high first playthrough times)

Still, I was satisfied with what I got, a taster to TPP, which is easily my most anticipated game for a long time, and the only game I currently look forward to.

8/10 for me.

I rented it for a day for $2.20. I was able to leisurely play through everything except the patches mission in that time. I'll feel comfortable buying it at $10 or less.

I think this is looking to be a very one-sided poll :lol. The people on SSF who bought Ground Zeroes knew what they were getting into. Furthermore, it seems like no one was caught unawares (or became dissatisfied) about the two-hour length and sparse amount of side-quests.

I forgot to add rentals as an option. So, for those of you who rented the game, feel free to vote either "Yes" or "No", as if you had the option to purchase the game at MSRP.

Seems to be the same kind of demo that was given with ZOE for MGS2.

This should have been free imo. Or included in the Phantom Pain as a prologue.

The only good thing is that Kojima is probably using it as a Beta to test the waters and maybe change a few things for the real game.

I am in the knew what I was getting into camp. I will sat, most of all this makes me really want to play TPP. I want to see where they take this story, and I want more of this gameplay. I love how they have adapted the stealth. Overall I am loving it. I am having a ***** of a time finding all the patches. I kind of don't want to look them up until I have too.

To me, I dont think it matters how much time you spent on it, but how much time did you spend on playing new content. I'm not saying this was bad game or anything, but it should of really been a demo (something short that gives a taste of the full game and is very replayable), and feel Kojima/Konami has taking advantage of the enthusiasm of their fans.
