Statue ARH Conan W/Slave Girl and 8FT Snake

Alex who at arh decides paint colours? Who ever it is, really needs another job. What's the go with the makeup on the girls face... The snakes body colours make it look like it's one of the lollies from the 90s.. The "killer python". Looks shocking.

This was so hyped up and now it's a huge disappointment.

Btw I'm a big arh fan but sorry this is far from impressive.

I was never planning on getting this anyway as I'm no Conan fan but now hoping your God line doesn't follow this.

The makeup on this girl reminds me of the heavy makeup on the Queen of the vampires and the Valkyrie. The Valkyrie was such a great sculpt and I was so keen for her, then get face was painted like a cheap ho.. Ruined it.

I'm hoping to be blown away by the Minotaur, Ares and Alexander the Great however after this my enthusiasm is wavering.

It's ARH that paints this, by yes it's a bit heavy on the make-up and we will change it before the show. This may have added to the effect, but she's not glossy, as shown by flash.
I have seen Mino. Ares and even the Angel.
Of them all, so far the Ares is best.

I'm not concerned as we still have time to fine tune before production.
The girl face at least will be tweeaked even before the show.

Very disappointing, all the months of hype saying this will blow other Conan statues out of the water has backfired, this dio is average at best.

I think it was bound to happen.
We have some time to make a few adjustments and your judging this by initial workplace pics.
So this reaction is expected.
Let us show you it on the floor soon with better lighting and it's mass in full view.

I would like to believe that us humans aren't quick to judge and slow to change, but after reading all these comments....well, I'll just say we are quick to judge and slow to change.

After all this time on these forums, one would think the phrase, "Wait until you see this in person" would kind of stick by now.

I just can't fathom how most are quick to tear this down and have yet to see it in its finality (mostly finality) at NYCC.

I'm not saying there will be a humongous difference between the POOR PICS that have been shown and the ACTUAL look of the statue in person, but my goodness....pfft.....whatever. Most of you just don't get it. Just my observation!

Oh and btw, I am not a fanboy who can't point out some concerns of this statue from the pics I have seen, but I sure as hell have seen enough statues that at one time I thought wasn't impressive, turn out to be pretty damn impressive in person.

For the record, I do agree with most about the neck and face of the lady, and I also don't like the fact that both Conan and the girl are unscathed. There should be some cuts, dirt, bruises around the girls wrist, etc. to give this a more authentic look. However, I am not going to lambaste this just from lackluster pictures. I will reserve a more factual assessment once it is shown in its entirety at NYCC.

I would like to think that most are reasonable enough to do the same.

Let me have some fun at the show and show it to you.
One huge thing here is that the fans will get to see it in person and Arahom is right there to hear their opinions. I think there is room yet to improve the paints. A bit more grit, dirt and blood will help this one.

We are paying it!
As long as I can drive them home I can meet me right at the port when we get them it's fine.
It will save you some $$$ yes, but we still have to charge China shipping per container.

Ha ha ha, I know you will change your mind!
No one has seen how amazing this is, to be honest these pics suck and we decided to cave in due to the huge pressure from the fans.

In a way I'm happy they are out so we can fine tune the paint. It's alright if some people don't like it at first. The wow factor will come on the show floor.

I think what it is, is the blue eyes are throwing it off on the female. She's brunette. How many brunettes have blue eyes? Not very many. Its rare to find a natural brunette with blue eyes if not too many.

We have waited through all the hype and are totally disappointed that the girl is taking away from this dio. She needs a total revisit. Luckily I have a few suggestions.

Change her pose to kneeling as she cringes away from the snake, reverse the broken sword in her right hand, have her left arm coming across her neck area instead of being in that terrible upright position, shorten the neck and change the angle of the head, reduce the face paint and no blue eyes. Hows that.
