Yup know him and love his work. I ordered minatour locally, but locally retailer seems to jack up the price on ARH stuff. Any idea when can we have a sneak on babarian?

I believe they said Barbarian will be in the second phase so I don't think we will see anything until next year.

Wolf-Bro, Barbarian and Death Dealer may come out first. I just say lets get it over with and make them so they are out of the way first.
Plenty people like Death Dealer and Barbarian is perfect for us to do.
Either way, with multiple artists working all at the same time this is very exciting. Its no longer just Arahom doing it all :yess:

I am on board for both of those... Deathdealer and Barbarian should be first IMO they are the Iconic cornerstone's to Frazetta's legacy.

that would be an excellent choice. If the Barbarian was release first this line would have Juggernaut-like momentum.

Barbarian is just a license to print money. In 1/4 scale it will be insane!

...but man those Moore owners and their $1000 ebay listings are going to be livid.

Cant argue with Moores masterpiece.
Not exactly sure you guys even know of Ehren Bienert or heard of him. You will very soon enough :)
Just wait and see

Yes the sculpt will be exactly like the painting, thats what they want us to do

I got a cool barbarian resin kit that he did last year and I know he worked for Mcfarlane in the day...so I know he kicks *** and am anxious to see what he does with Frazetta's Barbarian.

With all due respect to all Frazetta's statues made before and the great artists who sculpted them. ARH’s goal is to produce something that was never done yet in any scale.

We are not going to make a statue “based” on Frazetta's art. We will bring the art to a 3D life! There is no “artistic licenses” not “interpretation” (with exception of course of the back sides and parts we can’t see in the paintings), and we will not “complete” the work Frazetta did, so as I said, if Frazetta left something undefined and blurred, we will keep it this way. Also we will not take any parts out of the paintings With exception of the backgorunds, of course), so if you see something on the painting, you will see it exactly as it is on our statue.

This was one of the most important points of our discussion with the family. We want the painting coming to life as it was envisioned by Frazetta, not a statue inspired by his art but with someone else’s vision. We will make true Frazetta’s pieces of art as if Frazetta himself would have sculpted them.

At 1/4th we can be very precise and copy the painting to its minimum nuances. It will be different, and it will be unique. In cases like this, the scale makes a huge difference, and this is why we picked a Frazetta license, to be able to make something that wasn't made before.

Our Frazetta line is a tribute to Frazetta's art and the first collection released after his passing, so we want to keep his legacy alive through the statues we will produce.

Our statues will have the seal of approval of the Frazetta's museum, and it will be displayed in the museum along with all the Frazetta's originals.

I dare to say that ARH will create a collection of sculptures as if Frazetta himself was the sculptor. This is our goal and commitment to his family, his memory and to the his fans.

Agreed. I believe we need to start with the two most Iconic ones and a reasonable price. This will build the foundation for what comes next and the sales will help propel us to the next phase.
The 1/5 The Indomitable is much more flexible and better for shipping, lets give it a try and see what you guys think.

There is a good discussion on the other forum and Arahom and I are very interested to go after this painting for the next sculpts:

I have to ask you, what are your very favorite paintings that may translate well to sculpt?

Got a question on this...for instance Conan the indomitable's face is shadow for eyes nose and mouth...how will you know what shape to sculpt the eyes nose and mouth, they will have to be interpreted from the shadow somehow, just wondering how this is going to work out with some of the loose paintings.

As Ive stated many times, I'm a huge fan of 1/4 scale dioramas, and the sacrifice has rocked my world and is shaping everything i buy for the future..so when you asked this I went through a lot of paintings and feel the following would make good 1/4 scale statue dioramas, as thats what i'm most interested in…i feel a lot of his work would make excellent statues, but i focused more on dioramas for this one..id love to know if you guys agree!

For a real challenge try doing the cat woman as most know her and how she looked originally before Frank changed it. I actually prefer the original.

Clearly you can make death dealers all day and people will naturally gravitate toward them.

smart move to start with something smaller and less expensive. The only one I am 100% in for is death dealer. But, after receiving him, I may be swayed to get something else.

I am very excited for you guys.

I know i was a bit harsh on your guys with the Conan diorama situation, but you guys have my full support with this license, i hope nothing but the best for ARH.

This license could be a gigantic success for ARH. If the paintings are nailed in statue form, these 3-d representations will attract new statue collectors (or new business) to the hobby that will be excellent for ARH and the statue-collecting game.

great job on doing something no one else has done before. This license is a gold-mine.
