Dredd never removes his helmet, even in the comics, must be a ****** to sleep with that thing on 24/7. I think someone mentioned earlier that it does come off, looks like a full sculpt to me.

He showers with it onin the comics even.

I care :)....Anytime a figure gets a removable helmet,it becomes an even cooler figure......and from the stats given,it sounds like the helmet is removable,so thanks for your kind help :cuckoo:

I always worry about what removable helmets might do to the paint.

Who cares if it comes off. He never takes it off in the movie. What kind of bizzare deal breaker is that for such a cheap, beautiful figure?

It will be cool from a custom point of view. While i agree Dredd should never be seen without his lid on, it will be cool to buy a few and swap in other heads for different judges.

He takes it off. We just never get to see his face.

Are they good at sticking with their dates?

Just got an answer to my question. Wonder what the whole sculpt looks like.

Cotswold Collectibles, Inc. OK, got clarification - the helmet DOES come off.

In case you missed it. Cotswold Collectibles comfirmed on Facebook that the Helmet is removable.

Just Pre Ordered this figure!

Can't wait, Art Figures really does a great job at an affordable price.

He actually has it off at the beginning of the film too if I remember right? The beginnig sequence shows him gearing up while in shadow, including putting the helmet on.

You can't see his face of course... But the helmet being removable makes sense for that scene. :)

7Hobby (Castle Collectables Inc.) confirmed it as well on OneSixthWarriors:
FYI, the helmet can be removed!

I suppose by neither showing nor mentioning it, Art Figures are simply concealing the fact that there's also a full 'Earl Rural' likeness on their DAEDD figure.

It's always best to give the option to remove the helmet. People will always prefer that option irregardless of whether dredd takes it off in the movie or not (he should never be seen without it though). Unless a fully sculpted helmet head with different mouth expression face plates... then that's another story.

Just ordered mine at a local store last night. Only USD$100, $15 bucks deposit, such a steal, that was the price of HT figures when i first started collecting.
