Re: Hot Toys VGM Series Batman: Arkham City - Batman Collectible Figure

That can't be right, the only reason i know of hot toys is becuase a friend said they were doing Metal Gear figures, that was around 8 months ago and no figures yet, they only siad they were doing this a few days ago, it can't come first that Makes no sense.

Hot toys makes no sense :lol

Except that there has been a WIP pic of this figure shown already, and nothing of the sort for Metal Gear yet (as far as I know).

It makes A LOT of sense.
MGS is Konami's license and Konami is da one pain in da ass to deal with company.
Blame 'em, not HT.

It's a great news that HT making something other than Japanese crazy licenses.
I'm glad that they're developing this line rather than just waiting for blessing from the east.

Metal gear is popular throughout the entire world :lecture

I can't believe it's konami thought when both play arts and 3A have got collectibles out.

I just don't see how one project can be so long with no figures while one with very little time can be coming so soon.

I want both but metal gear should be first cos it was said to be coming first. this seems backwards to me

See the Hot Toys licenses of: Bruce Lee, Avatar and Ghost Rider. All licenses announced and that took so long to get product out that people swore they had been canceled.

Avatar was announced in 2009 and didn't garner figures until 2011. As far as HT is concerned it makes perfect sense.

MGS is just one of multiple licenses announced that haven't garnered any "fruit".

Still it's a Konami's product and Japannese license.

PlayArts = toys
3A = scaled replica of robot

Nothing to deal with complex HI-End real like 1/6 figures.

Well... It's all just about making some good money :dunno
Toys and desing-things sells better.

Re: Hot Toys VGM Series Batman: Arkham City - Batman Collectible Figure

Sideshow just tweeted this:

So I asked how soon and go this response:

Looks like the wait on this might be shorter than we think.

Interesting. Perhaps we will see him before TDKR stuff starts up then. It would be rather weird having multiple Batman items from different properties coming out at once. We'll probably get AC Batman, and then Bane, TDKR Batman, Catwoman, etc and then perhaps more AC figures depending on how well Batman did in pre-orders. If anything they can buy time with a BD Batman before moving on to other characters, if we get other characters. I'm still not sold on the idea, but I'd love for it to happen. But HT has just spread themselves soooo thin lately. The Avengers alone is demanding 7 figures from them, let alone the 3 minimum from TDKR in addition to their other lines. :google

Re: Hot Toys VGM Series Batman: Arkham City - Batman Collectible Figure

Medicom put out a bunch of MGS figures, which for the time, they were ok. Don't what the real hold up is if we all know Hot Toys is capable of doing better figures.

Anyway, goin back to Batman, I might be inclined to saying that we might see something around the time Rises comes out. But, we might not see anything until next year.

Don't forget that HT have announced they will be doing Batman Returns, and there is the possibility of 89 Joker variants. Might they also do the 89 Batwing? I'd say we are going to see a HELL of a lot of Batman in 2012-2013...

I still think we'll see at least a Joker from AA/AC; I personally think they'd be crazy not to explore Batman's rogue gallery from these games, they're pretty awesome looking interpretations of the characters.

Re: Hot Toys VGM Series Batman: Arkham City - Batman Collectible Figure

They only announced the Batman Returns license. I bet its a longer wait like the Batman 89 announcement was from annouce to reveal. And I really doubt a Batwing is coming.

I'm not trying to bust BA**s, but I don't think its a rule that HT must release figures in the order they announced the license. Its their company. They can do whatever they want if they think its good for business.

:lol :yess:

Wouldn't matter. Harely probably won't happen anyway so you'd only be more disapointed when they didn't make her from AA if they had the AA license.

Dasa good point. :lecture :(

Re: Hot Toys VGM Series Batman: Arkham City - Batman Collectible Figure

Exactly, with TDKR coming, everybody's getting hyped up with Bats in their belfries. Bottom Line: HT is going to cash in on that hype, and, quite frankly, they're right to not care about those waiting on other things, because, at the end of the day, the folks complaining won't do anything anyway, they'll complain until HT finally decides that they have all of their priority stuff out, and that it's time to show it, and all of the complainers will rejoice about how HT finally "listened to them," and sit there with their jaws on the floor while they rapidly click the Pre-Order button. I know this because the exact thing happened with Superman, which I was present for. :lol

Re: Hot Toys VGM Series Batman: Arkham City - Batman Collectible Figure

I'm pretty darn excited about this figure. Never thought we'd get an Arkham City Batman from Hot Toys. If he's more articulated than the Bale and Keaton versions, it'll be extra awesome.

Re: Hot Toys VGM Series Batman: Arkham City - Batman Collectible Figure

I love that now I can say I have a figure of Kevin Conroy's Bat from HT.

Re: Hot Toys VGM Series Batman: Arkham City - Batman Collectible Figure

There's no need for them to go with a full rubber body for this version of bats.

Well sculpted PVC would be amazing for this figure, given the brighter colors.

Please give us at least one posable batman from hot toys.
