10 minutes. Dude, you were posting how bad it looked right from the sneak until today. That's not trolling?

When I look back on this thread, yeah, I posted twice that I didn't like it. Once around the sneak, and once around the reveal...which was around a month ago now. I didn't drone on and on about how this or that statue is so superior or how bad the pose is or whatever else bothered me...I said my piece and left.

When I see threads get bumped, I check in to see what's going on...including this one. I just didn't feel the need to post the same negative thoughts on the piece every single time.

I have an X Men line up and I'm an X fan, but I am definitely passing on this because it's very poorly done. I'm hoping Sideshow makes improvements on it before it ships, but if they do I can grab the reg down the line. To me it's a lot like Cyclops, no way I would ever display the ex head under any circumstances.

I have Cyclops and look forward to adding Jean to my display. I think she is going to look just fine next to my other XMen

Notice I was responding to questions and comments directed towards me? Did I question you on your judgement for liking the piece?

Whatever dude. Theres over 200 responses stating how "disappointing" this thing was from members across both forums. I don't have to justify why I wouldn't order it to the likes of you. You need your head examined.

How often do you display cyclops with the alternative head?

Never. In fact the ex on all the X-Men Pfs isn't really that great. I guess the point for me is that I'm still getting her either way. I think the rogue ex head is terrible but I like having the option to mix it up.

My point was that like the Cyclops PF, I'll never use the EX head so no rush to buy it and can easily pick the reg up later if this thing comes out better than anticipated.

If I may chime in I display the Alternate head about twice a year on Gambit and all so the Colossus just because I think they are Cool, so I cannot agree with the statement that all are terrible my Friend Nemen, JMO, that said, I think the original long haired version would be what I will display all the time and like you CSI I all so do not need to rush around for the Ex,

Everybody is different. I like the X-Men Ex heads. Wish I had Wolverine's but he was completely sold out by the time I started collecting and I managed to find an unopened regular for below retail... What new collector would pass up that deal? Psylocke's looks weird but I prefer Rogue's EX head. Although both of Gambit's heads are regular, I prefer the longer haired head, which is the one most collectors tend to like less. It's the look in the comics he's had the longest so in my mind that's him. X-Men ages are always subjective and if you actually try to follow them make about 0 sense, but the cigarette head makes Gambit look way too old since he's supposed to be relatively younger.

But all that to say everybody has their own preferences is all.

Fair enough, I'm just happy to get both sculpts and really happy I'm getting a Jean Grey to complete my collection. I guess I don't mind the ex as much because I have some original art cells from the 90's cartoons where she is wearing the famous pony tail. As an avid comic reader and fan of the old school cartoons I can appreciate both. I also have art cells of Phoenix with her gone wild and beautiful. SS seems to confuse some of the comic art with the cartoon art. Anyway, Im a big X Men fan and very bias. I admit...I have a problem

Great Reply my Friend and I remember those days of High Adventure on Saturday Mornings and then sometimes later after school, as you know I am a X-Men Fan myself and I do think you may be on to something about the Comic and Cartoon angle, I do get that feeling myself, because I to Read, unless they wanted to give some of that Saturday Morning Feel with the pony-tail for Nostalgia and then the Comic Modern feel on the alternate long-haired version, just another way of looking at it and Yes my Friend we do have a problem, some may call it a Sickness :lol:lol:lol

Be Cool Nemen
