I'm re-posting this for opinions.

I didn't get much of a response last time, hope to have a few more comments this time round.

Am I being over critical of these...let me know what you think.

Here are some pics of my Arwen head sculpts.

I don't have her yet...these were sent to my by my US dealer.

Hoping to get a better Ex. one at least.

They don't have wandering eye and that is a bonus.

But the paint apps look dirty and sloppy to me.

What say you?

We are such a strange bunch. Collectors I mean. OCD. All of us. ;P

I actually think yours looks not too bad. I think the whites of the eyes are dirty on most. At least your eyes are mostly straight on your EX head. The thing that stands out to me the most about yours is the sloppy eyebrows. It's like they're bleeding brown.

I also had dirty marks in the nose and in the dent above the lip. I ended up repainting my whole EX face because of this.

I think maybe they're trying to create shading or something with making these parts dirty. Like on the ears of yours.

You could go for replacements but I don't know if they'd be any better. You could always try and see though.

If my Arwen eventually shows up looking as nice as yours, I will be pleased. I think you do have some flaws that keep it from being a complete knockout, but I see Liv in your pictures more than some of the other pictures posted. I think you would have to do a repaint like Fremen to get closer. It is a risk to try to swap out too, as the devil you know...

Yes. I agree with Seaward and forgot to say it clearly. I think yours looks better then a number of the pictures of seen. Certainly looks way better then what I got.

Thanks guys...it helps to get a second opinion on these things.

I do think there are issues with mine , but as you say we have seen worse for sure.

I'll see what Sideshow do and take it from there.

If they don't come up with anything better, I'll keep the ones I have and maybe have a go at cleaning them up the best I can.

Got my replacements and they look really good. I'm totally pleased with them and will take pics this weekend. I must smash my old ones which is a first.

I have a replacement Ex head coming my way, mine wasn't as bad as Bill's, but still not as great as it could be, we'll see how the replacement looks in a few days.

I was content for a while leaving her as is, then figured, I paid for her, SS has a guarantee they stand by, so lets see what happens. I really like the Arwen piece, but if the head is sloppy, it ruins everything.

My heads arrived. I'm very pleased with them.
My old ex. head had a part of the hair chipped of which was just overpainted and the eyes looked slightly lazy. The new one is not lazy eyed and has a better paintjob.
My reg. head had a color chip. The new one is perfect, too. The eyes are painted a bit darker like on the ex. version which gives so much to the likeness of Liv.

Bill- I am too. It's a fantastic representation of the character and now that I'm totally pleased with everything it's even better.
