That was fantastic. Perfectly transitioned from the films to this, while still being self-contained enough to attract new viewers. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Very good first episode. Looking forward to the next episode!

Very cool episode! Glad to have the Bruce back at what he does best. Very old school Sam Raimi feel to it. Groovey! :rock

Pretty excited for the show. Here's an acrylic painting I spent the last week working on, and the guy who took a selfie with it.

That's fantastic, Mirakle. Seems like he would be a cool guy. How was he in person (assuming you had time to chat)?

Going to be subscribing to SuperChannel maybe today to keep up with the show. Glad to hear that they were already renewed for a second season and that the first episode is getting good reviews.

Funny, nerd pleasing, Bruce on form, genuinely freaky.

Absolutely fantastic. Hope the series continues this strong and they haven't used up all the brilliance in ep 1.

Question though: why not s-mart? Is that now a real shop or summat?

Minor complaint would be the overuse of CGI. Other than that the show is fun, funny, creepy, and feels right. Bruce's best work since Bubba Ho-Tep.

Great first episode, I've had Space Truckin stuck in my head all weekend.:lol

I know this one was directed by Sam Raimi, hopefully there's no difference in quality going forward.

I had it in my head since I saw the preview a couple months ago! lol
Really glad to hear that people like it and that it's been renewed already. Hopefully Sam will stay involved and direct every once in a while. Really really wish I had Starz right now. :gah:

That episode was so awesome. I loved everything about it. All the visuals and shots of Sam raimis were awesome, I really hope whoever directs future episodes incorperates them.

So awesome! Gotta love Raimi's camera work! Everything about that episode felt right. So Raimi won't be directing anymore? That's a little concerning if that's the case.

It was fun but the CGI was absolutely appauling. The tone was all over the place. Every scene without Ash seemed to play it for straight horror and then it would switch back to comedy everytime Bruce was onscreen. Definitely feels more like AoD. We'll see I guess.

See I liked that element. Ash is used to this crap, he's paranoid and ****ed up from it, and when it comes time to deal with it, he's back to his bad ass self. Everyone else should be horrified atm.

Well I bloody loved it. The tone felt right to me with just about the right number of 'nods' to the original movies.

I just hope they can keep it going before it becomes repetitive.

Bruce knows how to play the crowd with his loudmouth, smart ass persona, but one on one, he's pretty genuine. I asked if it was true that he auditioned for BATMAN FOREVER back in the day; He said it wasn't but that he's waiting for the phone call in case they ever need an old Batman for DARK KNIGHT RETURNS. Yeah... I can dig it.
