The actual physical jacket was brown, although when you saw the movie it was blue (filters/tint,whatever), which leads the question would you want a figure to be actually correct to what they used or correct to what you actually saw on screen?

Coat is brown, looked blue. Since it looked blue, and vintage toy was blue, I prefer blue!

Well brown comes from the 12inch figure I believe. It had a brown jacket, as did the 95ish figures. Later ones were blue.

Funny that the first 33/4 figure was blue though.

ther is a really REALLY easy solution to this. Hasbro did the solution becuase there was a HUGE debate over it with the toys. you know what that solution is?

Just give us both jackets, damnit.

THIS is what sideshow needs to do. Simple solution, and it keeps EVERYONE happy. i know they did not do this before, but becuase how much of a problem this creates amongst the fandom, I'd say just this ONCE, give us both so that people can display it how they like.

I think picking screen appearance over actual prop should come into play when the difference is considerable.

This coat being an example, the film made the fabric appear to be an entirely different color than the actual costume.

That doesn't solve the problem. It may for you because you see a blue coat in the film. When I watch it, I see a brown one. I NEVER saw the blue color everyone seems to see. So you can't just judge it by what you say is screen accurate because the decision is still split on that one too. I see brown on screen and I saw brown when I saw the actual prop at CIV.

It may look blue because with the Special Editions Lucas altered the coloring making a lot of things bluish like the Star Destroyer bridge and even the planet Hoth. It use to be white!

Weird, I always thought it was brown. And this from the guy who needed someone to specifically point out the difference in the color scheme for Fett in the two movies. :lol

Well they could always make it the same shade of green as Indy's PF jacket and piss everyone off. :monkey3

I always thought it was blue myself, but I reckon that probably has more to do with me remembering the old Kenner toy.

Even on the above picture, look around the seams, especially the pocket - you can see some blue peaking through. I think that's what I saw in person that made me think that it might have been blue at one time.

One thing we're not taking into consideration is that the cloth could have changed with age.

Personally, I don't care if it's brown or blue. People can argue this forever. I just want a Hoth Han already. Hell, a 1:6 Imperial Probe Droid and a ****** Chewbacca to roar at it would be great too! :monkey3

What if... just what if... the coat looks brown now cause it faded from blue to brown?:duh

I would definitely love to have a 1:6 Imperial Probe Droid... and maybe it could come on a stand with a snow base.:)

Seems to me the blue coat is the same as Biggs in SW.

People will swear on a stack of bibles that they saw the Biggs footage in theatres when the truth is, they saw it in the SW storybook. Lucasfilm has said so hundreds of times it was never shown theatriclly and yet people still argue about it.

Same here. The evidence is right there and yet people want to argue. Kenner made an incorrect figure leaving us all to believe that his coat is blue.

It's just not the case.

it should be made out of that changing color stuff. what is that? abolone or something. lol. how about it changes color when wet or cold like the coors cans.....................

it could be the wet from the snow get into the material and saturated the coat, making it look darker, and for some reason, on film it looked blue. who knows.

Just give us both coats, problem solved.
