Probably the same way they have offered head upgrades in the past. Or alternatively, pack them with a future release making people forced to buy something like they've done with the Gandalf hat.

I mean regarding the Gandalf hat- they didn’t even have to offer it. Hot Toys doesn’t offer upgraded parts. Most companies don’t unless you’re buying a full new figure.

Same thing with this new Gollum sculpt. I’m not even a diehard Asmus fan but I feel like people give them a lot of crap.

I agree.

They offered the hat in a way that made sense-with Old Bilbo.
I didnt have GtG so offered it up to someone that may have needed it.

Asmus did the same with Anduril.
Offered it in here for free.

Yes,some of their intentions haven't come across right e.g the B.A.F probably the glaring one to me,but I feel their intentions are there with other things and trying to right wrongs.

They definitely don't bash their customer base like im seeing being done to the Trek collectors,and HT have only succeded once to collectors ' for their very poor Iron Man headsculpt.

I would definitely pick the extra heads up if sold as an accessory pack.
Throw in a brace of Rabbits and po-ta-toes

My issue with the company is being lied to or lead astray. If I was told up front that Bilbo was the only means in which to get the hat I would have shrugged and said oh well. Or I could have chose to buy the figure to get the hat. But when a rep from @Asmus tells people the hat will be honored for releases outside Bilbo then cool. I'll wait for my hat with Gollum. Only to be told after the fact "nope sorry".

It is what it is. I'll get a better hat with InArts version. No biggie.

Well based on Asmus’ quoted statement, I would assume they did not have more hats ready for when Gollum came out. I mean their statement clearly says “if” in it. There was no guarantee that the hat would be included with Gollum. We are talking about another 1,600 hats made at the company’s expense thrown in for free. They probably only make them when it makes sense with the factory’s schedule.

Maybe I should of posted more quotes they made mention after as well. So yeah, maybe not guaranteed, but implied. Now if I want a hat Ill have to be forced to buy another figure. The figure Im going to buy is the InArt Gandalf.

The hat or Gollum? Personally I like the cloth hat after removing magnet pad and some foam, then stretched over a garden shovel handle for a weekend and poof - perfect cloth hat that matches his outfit. The plastic hat fits and sits perfectly but looks plasticity to me.

I just got in the Smeagol version, and i love the little guy! Along with Gandalf he's my favourite character from the trilogy so he was a must have...the precious

My only real nitpick is that the eyes are a tad difficult to move, so i might try removing the wee piece of plastic that surrounds them. Want to darken the few strands of hair as well.
