Someone on FB commented in pretty bad broken English that they were disappointed in Saruman. I'm hoping he's just really picky. We shall see I guess.

So far in my opinion each and every one of their releases have looked a lot better in person so I am not worried yet. Each human male figure has been better than the one before it so far. If Saruman is as good as Aragorn I will be happy. If he turns out better I will be thrilled. More concerned about wether there will be any issues with my direct order from their site. I have the Mouth and the hobbit sets in order with them too so if there are issues I want to get them straightened out as fast as possible.

The paint app looks pretty good. I can't get past the beard though. Is it an optical illusion or what? Maybe it has to be curled around on the sides to look right. Just doesn't look like what we saw before.

It is a strange cut to the beard...




The production figure has a wide shovel-shaped end, whereas the proto had a very evenly sloped and tapering beard.

Wonder why the change on what was regarded as a perfect sculpt...?
