The paintjob is unreal.
Or should I say, too real.

Its hard to see what it looks like cause of the angle, and the eyes getting shadowed, that's why I'm seeing a Jack Sparrow cause it looks
like it has heavy eyeliner.
But I'm impressed with the skin tone and facial hair looking real.

Excellent looking sculpt, though some reservations about the eyes and bridge of the nose - but a higher-res shot with different lighting will tell a different story quite possibly.

Sculpted hair is way better for this character :)

I hope the paint apps are good on the production run and the bodies aren't loose. Other than that I don't have any real concerns now. Hopefully it ships soon :)

I kinda like the sculpt but need more pics. Don't wanna start the nitpicking wave but (just lookibg at this pics):
- Where is the patch on right arm of the trench?
- Why the sword is still black?!?

No arm patch? at least he has the gauntlets to cover the mistake. Still a black handle for the ranger sword, past caring now so just want to pre order my awesome doll and be happy :)

I'm in! Not 100% perfect but I think he looks great and much better to my eyes than the ACI.

Asmus seems to have certain consistent stylization in their work. Dark eyes and complexions, full lips, etc. Their figures all look similar to me. In art school we were taught that the key to good life drawing is putting down what you see, not what you think you see. Drawing the person's eyes, not what your brain thinks eyes should look like. It's a challenge for sure but if you can get there, it makes all the difference.

The patch might be on the coat. It might just be on the side we can't see under the elbow. Hopefully it's there but it is not a deal breaker for me same with the sword handle. I have multiple of all the other Aragorn releases so I will be able to Frankenstein the "perfect" version. At least the closest to perfect in my opinion.

Looks like it is time to sell my remaining Hot Toys Batman and Marvel figures to make room and get funds. Can't wait to get the release date and price point.

I'm not feeling the sculpt, still has a bit of an alien vibe to it, but it's still good. Just not great.

The rest looks very good though, so even if it's just to get the outfit I think this figure will probably be worth it. And who knows, the sculpt might look better if we can get some direct shots of it.

Looks brilliant. I had to look at the pics for a while to get it. But I didn't have that instant feeling I usually get when something is definitely off and I try to convince myself it isn't, like HT's Keaton.
